WEEK OF OCTOBER 4, 1999

Monday, October 4, 1999
Casey is playing third wheel to Michale and Vanessa. They have drinks with Sara as she waits for Jude. He happens to be giving Annie a ride back from the airport and they get a flat tire. Casey and Sara talk a little, jealousy on Mr. Mitchum's part is noticeable. Not much there, but I enjoy this new triangle.

Toby comforts Caitlin. He's not Gregory, just if any of you were thinking Greggie was playing dress-up, I think emphatically not. I LOVE his red bowtie. Probably because I had a huge teddy bear with a red bow time once. AJ gets mad at Livvy for leaving Cole in London, so this is how Eddie's leaving. He'll be thrown in jail, maybe? I'm actually hoping Greggie will kill him.

Derek is back! I could not be happier about this. Clive is at his best when he's evil. He's taunting Meg and that's nice. At least she isn't running to Casey every two seconds. He's busy being jealous.

Tuesday, October 5, 1999
So, Derek convinces Maria that Meg still has a thing for him and wont get over it. She's happy he's so understanding with her. Tess wants to know what happened to Ben, 'cause apparently he could still cause trouble. Apparently he won't.

Vanessa realizes that Casey is jealous. I am loving this. Jude, looking very dapper in a nice, light colored suit, meets Sara. They decide to go somewhere nicer. It's a nice restaurant.

Gabi goes to see Cutie (Antonio) at the church. He's topless and she likes it. Ricardo and Michael are training. They have therapy sessions that late? Oh well, in case you hadn't noticed, Sunset Beach is rather unorthodox. Ricky moves his hips! He and Gabi can boink now. I use that word because I don't think they'll be making love any time soon.

Olivia and Annie argue. Livvy and Toby go to dinner leaving Annie and making her think they were going to The Deep. Who in their right mind would take Toby to The Deep? Annie caches on and finds them at the same restaurant as Jude and Sara. Jude hears Annie on the phone pretending to be Rose so she can get Livvy away. Annie's Spanglish had me in stitches. I don't speak Spanish (I took French), but I'm sure that isn't the way it should be done.

Wednesday, October 6, 1999
Sara sees Casey at the restaurant and thinks he's following her. All I've got to say is at least she isn't lying. He questions the validity of her date. Sara decides to go home after Casey ruins her evening.

Ricardo gets to go out. Cutie asks him what the archbishop said and he gives some lame excuse.

Olivia and Annie argue and Olivia runs into Bette and AJ, who are about to have dinner. If I were AJ, I'd get rid of Livvy. Jude offers his help in getting Cole out of prison.

I didn't get much out of the episode, so that's the it for today.

Thursday, October 7, 1999
Livvy finds out that Sean broke Emily's heart. She can't believe it and blames Amy. Bette looses her temper and yells at both Livvy and Sean. Amy is threatened by Mrs. Moreau for money. She asks Brad for help, but he refuses.

Meg gets a phone call from "Ben", and hangs up on him. That's one of the most intelligent things she's done in a while now. Derek doesn't know about the blue crayon Benjy gave him and recovers quickly. Okay, apparently Ben's favorite color is blue. It sure doesn't show in his wardrobe. Anyone else assume it'd be black?

Ricardo and Gabi begin to "make love".

Friday, October 8, 1999
Annie tries to seduce Tobias. I don't think he'll go for it. Infact that was the equivalent of a kamikaze mission for Annie. Livvy is yelling at Amy telling her to leave. Sean comes in and defends Amy. He and his mom argue and nothing is resolved. Annie makes a comment about how screwed up the family is and Olivia begins to strangle her. I'd like Bette to come in and help Annie.

Antonio comes and finds Ricardo and Gabi about to "make love". He's nervous and goes home. Ricardo and Gabi begin to "make love"

Casey goes to see Sara at her house. He apologizes for ruining her night and admits to being a little jealous. Jude comes right in the middle of the conversation with flowers for Sara. They have a nice conversation -- minus Casey-- and that's the it.

AJ finds out Cole will be coming home and is happy. Obviously.

WEEK OF OCTOBER 11, 1999

Nothing to Post.

WEEK OF OCTOBER 18, 1999

Monday, October 18, 1999
So, Maria and Sara's fight is shown in the opening with them breaking the pretty display. I love how everyone asks how Sara is and diregards Maria. I find it funny, not in a being mean to Maria way. I like her. Then there is the standard shouting match between Ben and the Cummings' with a sort of intervension from Cutie.

Poor Bette. Olivia is being such a bitch towards her. It isn't that I don't like AJ, I do think he needs someone who knows he's there. But I just want Bette to be happy and really want her and AJ together. If Tyus was the object of her affection I'd want her with him. Tobias made an excellent point--everyone seems to be mad at Miss Livvy.

Mrs. Moreau has a Brabie thing!!! Ahh, the laughs that gives. You'd never had expected that would you have? I sure did not. Bad part? She still wants money from Amy, who has been followed by Annie. Speaking of which, poopsie needs to get a totally different wardrobe. Then, of course we need to take into account that pesky money situations. I don't think I'm making any sense, so I'll leave that subject to Sunset Style. The people in Mrs. Moreau's building are easily bought. Especially, it seems, Jada.

So, Emily has a new look. Personally I don't think it's bad at all. She looks fine and Cristi Ellen Harris (who has very nice fan mail responses) can pull it off. I think I'll like a pairing--an honest one--with her and Brad.

I almost forgot to say that I'm suspicious of the picture even though Tess feeds him one of those BS excuses he's usually dumb enough to belive.

Tuesday, October 19, 1999
Michael tries to propose to Vanessa and it doesn't go so well. Basically he has a plane go by with the proposal, but it has the wrong name. Some guy proposed like that when I was at Lilith Fair this year. Well, if it had worked he can probably rest assured she would have said yes.

So, Annie scares Amy. Kind of. She's more scared of VooDoo lady, as would I. Not much really happened there.

Meg wants to talk to Maria about funny Ben. Maria really doesn't listen. She goes to see Mama Torres and shows off the gaudy new wedding ring. I guess you can tell I don't really like it.

Again, Livvy goes and makes Bette upset. I'm not liking this. Or Olivia.

Wednesday, October 20, 1999
Okay, so Mama Carmen sees death and danger if Maria and "Ben" go on their trip. She says this so Maria agrees to cancel the trip and Derek is upset. Carmen touches his arm (Maria is not in the room) and says he's not Ben and faints.

Bette can no longer hide her feelings for AJ and he figures it out. The idiot breaks her heart when she knows that he'll only ever love Olivia. Damn that British lush!

Speaking of the lush, Amy is able to get the $10,000 from her so she'll leave town.

Meg and Sara's little shop is a big success. They have lots of stuff, knickknacks, it seems.

Caitlin gets an interesting phone call from Cole. Did you know that she and Sara had met? I don't remember it, much less an almost friendship thing.

Thursday, October 21, 1999
Amy decides not to leave, which pisses off Olivia, which pisses off Sean who doesn't know that Amy was paid to go bye-bye. Olivia has to realize that she can't pay all of the nasty girls to go away.

So, Eddie Cibrian's final day was...well...it sucked, big time. It was boring, vague, and not interest holding. As I said, I was hoping Greggy would somehow kill him. Now would that not have been more exciting than seeing him in a phone booth being followed? I think so. Maybe Eddie will be nice and come see us for the finale. One can only hope.

As usual, of late, "Ben" is odd and doesn't call the ambulance when Maria tells him too. He waits a few seconds. But once at the hospital Carmen comes to and wants to see Maria. I would have liked to see something else today than that, but oh well.

Annie pays off Mrs. VooDoo Lady and wants something for Olivia. This is a match made in Hell and I love it. It is nice to see Virginia mentioned while she's off in LaLa Land

Friday, October 22, 1999>br> Caitlin blames her mom for Cole not being there--again. Livvy says she's got nothing to do with it and Caitlin tries to have her arrested. Jude stops her after telling AJ that Cole is gone.

Casey and Sara seem to be reconciling, that's a good thing. Then, as usual, Meg comes and messes it up.

Later Whiny Meg sees Tess at the hospital and starts to believe Sara is right about her. FINALLY!

Carmen has her Tarot cards in the hospital, how many sets does that woman have? She sees danger. Derek doesn't want Maria to go see Mama. They do and Carmen doesn't remember what happened.

Well, it seems that yet another of Annie's farfetched, unbelievable and always entertaining schemes had worked! Livvy's battling the bottle and losing quickly … with Annie, of course, offering a little assistance by waving vodka under her nose.

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 15, 1999

Monday, November 15, 1999
This is one red headed step-mother that know exactly how to get what she wants. (Hey, no one ever said witches and potions were against the rules!) And Olivia can't even get help, poor girl! Yeah right! Can't ruin her chance at all that power! Now, who wants to place bets as to how long it takes for this one to blow up in the darling widow Richards' face?

Man, I love Tim now! So he wasn't the best when he was weaseling around in the Cummings' life, but the haunting scenes are just the best! And speaking of that clan, I have to give kudos to Derek, too! Bad boy Evans is so hot! He has Maria wrapped around his finger, and Meg absolutely baffled! It takes a real evil genius to completely become someone else. One more comment on that subject ... CATFIGHT! As usual, Maria and Meg are at each other's throats, anyone care to guess why? Well, I won't keep you curious! Over "Ben", once again as usual!

You know who people should listen to on the Beach? Madame Carmen. She knows it all, and everyone thinks she a fake! Well, I bet Maria will be singing a different tune when her mother's predication of danger comes true.

Tuesday, November 16, 1999
And Carmen's predications continue of Tuesday to ring true, too true for comfort for Maria, who gets an order from her mother to 'open the box'. "What box?" Maria asks. Carmen really clears things up by saying that it may or may not be a real box that Maria may or may not need to open! Yep, that makes perfect sense!

Poor Sara ... she's so baffled by her sister's behavior! First Meg swears she wasn't with Ben (and she was, BTW) then Antonio says he saw her at Ben's house, then she walks in on Meg and Ben kissing! And Derek's raging libido isn't satiated with just two women - he wants Meg in his bed, too. Some men never learn.

And, obviously, neither do women. Why do soap people always talk to themselves? Well, we can be thankful Tess does! The mystery of Benjy's maternity has been solved! Maria won't be too happy about this ... just like she isn't too happy about the picture of Tess and "Ben".

And next on the couple subject is a very new and hot item - Mr. Jude Cavanaugh and Mrs. Annie Douglas Richards. Seems all the fighting they've been doing was actually sexual tension in disguise! Only time will tell what they end up as.

Wednesday, November 17, 1999
Finally, they've brought back Antonio! Uh, and Gabi and Ricardo were there too I think. Well, we now know for sure that Antonio isn't over Gabi, no one that has dreams like that is really over someone! And Gabi seems awfully uncomfortable being forced to spend time with her brother-in-law, maybe she's afraid she won't be able to hold herself back. But Ricardo keeps at her to go to Antonio because he has his own plans for the afternoon, nothing serious, just a little lying, planting suspicions in a certain DA's mind.

Well, it seems that the proverbial cat's out of the bag for Tess and Derek. Due to the incriminating picture that Maria has of the man she thinks is her hubby and the nanny, she knows. It doesn't take long for poor misguided Maria to realize that it's her psycho brother-in-law that really chose her. What will Tess and Derek do with her now? I'm not sure I want to know!

Livvy desperately tries to keep a grip on her sobriety but it's an uphill battle due to some 'help' from Annie and plaguing visions from her dear ex Gregory, current lover AJ, and Del Douglas, who once again makes a pleasing cameo, returning momentarily from his long term stay down under.

Annie and Jude certainly manage to keep themselves occupied for the evening, and Jude seems to want their activities to continue on into the night. Annie, on the other hand has other ideas and quickly puts a stop to that idea as she remembers that she has business to tend to at her home sweet home - or would that be home bitter home. Stung by her hasty refusal, Jude accuses her of using him (which for once she wasn't!) and Annie retaliates by doing the same, which a dream later on in the night proves that wrong. Who knows, maybe Annie'll come to her senses and take him up on that.

Thursday, November 18, 1999
An annoyingly touching moment between Jude and Caitlin - just what I didn't want to see after those hot love scenes between him and Annie. Well, there's not much to say there except I hope Cole comes back for the end of the show! Maybe then Caitlin will stop turning to Jude so he can concentrate on his most recent romantic interest. A certain snappish little redhead who could use some distraction of her own, preferably in the form of a hunky newcomer! Annie's really disappointed when it seems that her potion was a dud ... Livvy shows up perfectly composed and sober the morning after Annie puts her potion to work. Undeterred, Annie ups the dosage, determined for Tobias to see Olivia nice and drunk, while Olivia orders the nice housekeeper to chunk out every drop of alcohol in the house.

Maria's in t-r-o-u-b-l-e…especially after Derek catches her trying to call her brother for help, then stops her from making a getaway out the door as she pretends to start packing. Crying and screaming for her life, Maria struggles painfully as Derek happily reminds her that he's going to get away with all of this because everyone thinks he's dead. She actually does manage to escape Derek's clutches once … only to run straight into a poker-wielding Tess!

Ricardo's wickedly twisted plan for revenge is well underway as he messes around with both his wife and brother's minds, sends them off together and then begins the next phase in his scheme to frame them with murder. After a few snore-inducing scenes between the deceiving threesome centered on their having a few glasses of iced tea, Ricardo manages to convince DW … Uh, Gabi to drive Antonio home so he can conveniently stay there alone. Using prints from the glass of Antonio's, he brilliantly lifts them and plants the fingerprints on a gun. Hmm … I wonder why he would be doing that?

Friday, November 19, 1999
As Olivia once again vows to stay sober and clean, Annie quick wittedly (is that a word? LOL) laced her unsuspecting foe's morning coffee with another powerful dose of the magic potion guaranteed to make her act like a sailor on leave. And, of course, the Brit succumbs to temptation and starts to chug down the vodka on display in the living room while her shocked family shouts surprise - only to find that it's them who's in for the surprise.

Sara just doesn't know when to give up, does she? The girl should know that it's not nice to go snooping around in other people's things. I'm sure Maria and Tim could give her some advice on that subject. Speaking of the one and only Mrs. Ben Evans, she's probably regretting going through her dear nanny's little box of horrors about now. Especially when a gleeful Tess informs her that that 'sweet little boy' isn’t hers at all! Rubbing it in with the photo of her and Derek when she was pregnant with Benjy, Tess continues to explain to a terrified Maria how she and Derek killed off Tim and how they followed through with their plan even after Maria surprised them by escaping to Sunset Beach.

Susan Ward makes a pinkified return (personally, I don't like the character or the color - but that's just MHO!) as the bickering sister, though this time she's right! But spending to much time with "Ben" could be harmful for her, too...

After being absent all week, the teens of SB are back as Amy tries out a new clean, goody two-shoes look only to have Sean first put her off then defend her to Bette. Noticing a subtle change in his conniving friend, he agrees to talk to her after his mother's surprise party. And on to the other two underage stars, Brad is pleasantly surprised when Emily stops by to say hi and to reassure him that she and Sean will not be getting back together - which is a big surprise to me because she was sure fawning over him when he mentioned getting back together!

As Derek watched with a proud grin the unveiling of the statue that hides Tim's deceased body, his pride turns to terror when the christening of it causes the monument to the lifeguards of SB to crack open and Tim's foot is clearly visible!

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 22, 1999

Monday, November 22, 1999
So what we all know, the residents of Sunset Beach now know. It's Tim's body. Meg knew it was him. Derek goes looking in Tim's motel room for evidence. Sara needs to join the police force since she's so naturally suspicious.

Olivia is drinking and is found by her party guests, who are horrified. Then there's Annie, who is not horrified. Olivia makes a fool of herself and the party's over. She yells at Amy, the only smart thing she did all day. Then the bitch (pardon my language) slaps Bette.

Tuesday, November 23, 1999
Amy tells Annie to find an antedote for Olivia, because Amy suddenly became smart and realized what happened. Then they're inturruped by Jude. I like him. I didn't comment about he and Annie together, but I like them together a lot.

Olivia's guests leave her in her drunken stupor. Tobias/Gregory reminds her that she was doing well in the race to be executor. She hit Bette, and if I didn't like her before, I don't like her now. I feel sorry for Caitlin and Sean. But Lesley Anne Down is absolutely FABULOUS.

Jude tells Annie no one wants to work with her at the Liberty Corporation. She's hurt, but then tells her that he wants to work with her. Awww..... Gabi wants to make love...to Ricardo (he refuses though and she goes off to the career fair ... and Antonio.)

Wednesday, November 24, 1999
So, career fair thingy. Carmen sets up her own booth. Apparently not many takers. Plus, Antonio made her take her booth down. So she went to see Ricardo and found her baby boy walking. Ric, by the by, has been planting seeds of lies in the mind of Michael.

Some guys berate Antonio. Most teenage guys I know are like them. Oh well, maybe there's hope.

Caitlin tries to keep Olivia away from Trey. Now there's a reason for her to keep him away. Annie's revenge sure is fun to watch. She's offered a job, but turns it down. I don't think it'll be for long though.

Thursday, November 25, 1999
Pre-empted. Thanksgiving and all :: grumble grumble::

Friday, November 26, 1999
Carmen finds her son walking about. He, obviously doesn't want it known. Now, I payed very close attention to Friday, but am having trouble remembering what hapened.

Amy dressed as a penguin. Audrey Hepburn looked much better in the habit. Of course she wants to be seen, and I think it was Sean who walked in on her. He was visiting Caitlin at the Java Web. She was talking to Kathy the civil services worker, who has now returned. Once again Kathy tells Caitlin there is nothing she can do. Gregory visits Olivia and seems to be caring for her. Hmm, wonder where that's going.

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 29, 1999

Monday, November 29, 1999
Meg is becoming as suspicious as Sara, which I think is a good thing in the present situation. Good, be suspicious of Ben. By the by, Derek and Tess become nervous when Officer Spencer comes to see "Ben" about his uniform. He was the last person Spencer saw on the night Tim was murdered and Spencer was knocked out and his uniform taken.

Livvy's still a lush. She promises Tobias that she'll stop drinking and start getting sober. But then when Sean tries to take the drink from her, she yells at him and slaps him in the face. Before that Sean laughs at Amy who tells him she's entering a convent. My mom wanted to be a nun when she was little. So did my best friend (who isn't Catholic).

Annie actually goes to work and wows Jude with her math skills all because she caught an error in some spreadsheet that could have cost the corporation a ton of money. Aww, he's impressed, and perfect for her. I am now a staunch supporter of Annie and Jude. She needs a man who is her equal and love her the way she is. I think she's found him.

Tuesday, November 30, 1999
So, Livvy slaps her son, Sean, not Trey. The social worker is watching on in horror, she walked into the house with Caitlin and AJ just as it happened. After Caitlin convinces the social worker that Trey cannot live in that environment any longer, the social worker agrees with her. However, she informs Caitlin that Trey won't live with her, but a foster family. See, that brain they were giving Caitlin is disappearing now! Caitlin is devastated and trying to argue her case to the social worker, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Sara and Meg decided that they should go snooping around in Ben's house and find out what is really going on over there. Maria is out of town, and Tess is taking Benjy to school - so nobody will be home. Meg gives Sara her set of keys to Ben's house, and Meg goes to the Deep to keep Ben busy for a while.

Ben tells Meg he's leaving Sunset Beach for good and she starts acting like she wants to make love. They're usually not that boring to watch. This time they were. Sara, on the otherhand, was busy telling the truth (gasp). Casey asked her what she and Meg were up to and she spilled everything. So Casey decides to go over to Ben's house instead of Sara and tells her he will let her know what he finds out. Then he went to look around and got knocked out by Tess. She caught him looking at the fake passports she hid under her mattress. The poor guy, he's been knocked out three times in less than six months. Maybe he isn't as strong as he looks.

Poor Jude and Annie. Annie chooses to go to lunch with Toby instead of Jude. I have a red bow tie like his. Actually it's my moms. We were at a movie theater and she asked one of the employees if she could have his tie and he gave it to her. Jude is hurt by Annie's actions because he knows that all she really wants is to get on Tobias good side so he will name her as the Executrix of Gregory's estate.

Wednesday, December 1, 1999
Okay, so Meg and Ben fool around a bit then Tess calls and tells Derek that she found Casey in the house and he needs to get there quick. And Sara's worried because Casey hasn't called her yet. Derek is a little upset about Casey. Which is understandable when your a murderous kook.

Olivia chooses booze rather than AJ. Good, now he can be with Bette. Cailtin and Sean decide to leave Sunset Beach. See, this is so they can bring Eddie Cibiran back for the last episode, which is a good thing. Meanwhile Emily and Bette have a nice mommy daughter talk. They're great together, Cristi Ellen Harris and Kathleen Noone. I'm going to miss them especially. Especially Kathleen, she has never turned in a bad performance. And I seriously think Bette is the only person on Sunset Beach that would have every resident of Sunset Beach at her funeral. Everyone else has at least one enemy.

Thursday, December 2, 1999
Caitlin decides to take Trey away for good, with Sean's help, and Olivia, protests. She is drunk again and after they have a big family talk, Livvy concedes. Then she finds out Sean is going too. Sean tells Emily goodbye and won't say why, only that he is leaving and doesn't know when he is coming back. After Emily tells Bette and AJ what Sean told her, she goes to the church to think and pray, she runs into Sister Amy the flying nun, and tells her that Sean is leaving town.

At lunch, Tobias starts toying with Annie and finally tells her that she won't get her hands on Greggy's millions. Tobias is remaining as the Executor of the estate until Trey turns 21. Annie's is completely blown away, and trys to change Tobias mind. He won't hear of it. For once, Tobias starts talking like he is Gregory (not in his voice, but in his words)

Casey comes to and realizes it's Derek not Ben. Casey breaks free from him restraints and he and Derek start to fight. Derek wins in the end and punches Casey out.

Friday, December 3, 1999
Annie won't be getting the money, Tobias will do that. She cries and talks to Jude and they have some pretty close moments. After Jude leaves his office and Annie breaks down and has a good cry, Sister Amy storms in and demands that Annie fix the Sean situation.
