From ABC:
ALL ABOUT RICHARD RUCCOLO
What’s on his CD player at the
moment? Blessed Union of Souls,
the Beastie Boys and the soundtrack
to "Romeo and Juliet"
Does he have brothers and sisters?
He’s got two brothers and a sister,
and he’s the baby of the family.
Does he have pets? "Not unless you
count the mice in my apartment."
Did he always want to be an actor? Absolutely not. He had
no idea what he wanted to be until he was in his first play.
What was his first role ever? Will Parker in "Oklahoma."
(That’s right, he can sing, too!)
Is he dating anyone? "I’m so *#@&ing single, it’s pathetic."
What’s the most romantic thing he’s ever done for
someone? Once, when he was working in dinner theater and
was so poor that he didn’t have any money, he made his then
girlfriend a dozen roses out of tissue paper and made her a card
and gave them to her. Needless to say, they were a big hit and
she kept them for years afterwards. Does she still have them
now? She lives with someone else, so he has no idea if she still
has them or not..
What’s the most romantic thing anyone’s ever done for
him? "Agreed to go out with me."
How does he describe his ideal woman? Someone who’s
petite, smart, funny, and who can put up with him acting like a
child. Someone who can laugh with him, and, most important,
someone who will be his best friend.
Would he ever want a doll made in his likeness (a la the
Spice Girls, "Beverly Hills 90210," etc.)? "Just as long as it’s
anatomically correct."
Are most of his friends girls or guys? Women, because they
are more "conversational." Also, women aren’t as competitive
as guys, and they actually like to converse (one of his favorite
things).
What’s the worst job he ever had? Singing and dancing on a cruise ship. He said it was "like a sweat shop."
Does he have a good luck charm? He actually has three—a
good luck hat, his dead dog’s leash, and a cross he wears
around his neck that he made as a junior in high school.
What’s the last book he read? "Midnight in the Garden of
Good and Evil."
Can he cry on camera? Yes. But he can’t rehearse it. If you
do it too many times, he says, the feeling goes away.
What does he like on his pizza? Styrofoam peanuts.
What does he sleep in? Nothing, ever since he bought a velvet duvet comforter (in forest green).
Anything else interesting about him that not many people
know? He’s a self-described "loner."
