ALL ABOUT RYAN REYNOLDS

Where is he from? Vancouver, Canada.

How long has he been in L.A.? Two years.

Does he like L.A.? He’s "used to it."

What’s his favorite thing about his new city? "The surprises." He likes the beauty of its surrounding nature and the good people who live in L.A.

Does he have any brothers or sisters? He has three older brothers. He’s the only actor in the family, though. One brother is a cop, one’s a painter and one is in the police academy.

What about the rest of his family? His mom and dad are still together. They’ve been married for 35 years. And they are very supportive of his career.

What does he like to do on a date? "Have something pierced."

Is he dating anyone at the moment? No.

What’s the most romantic thing he’s ever done? One time, he called his then-girlfriend in Vancouver and asked her to lunch. What’s so romantic about that, you ask? He was in L.A. at the time. True to his word, though, he flew up to Canada the next day and took her to lunch.

What’s on his CD player: Sarah McLachlan, Chet Baker and Matchbox 20.

What’s his favorite book? "Confederacy of Dunces." He’s read it three times.

Are most of his friends guys or girls? It’s a perfect split between the two sexes.

What’s the worst job he ever had? He had a paper route in a rich neighborhood of Vancouver. Each house was on a mountain, and he had to climb each one to deliver the paper. His dad had to pick him up half-way through the route and help him so he wouldn’t die of heat prostration. How long did he last in the job? Three days.

Does he have a good luck charm? His dog Jobey.

What does he do for fun? He loves fishing, which helps him relax. He likes to scuba dive, sky dive, and swimming in fresh water lakes. He’ll drive for hours just to find one.
