FROM ABC:

Q: Victoria asks: "Whenever Pete falls in love he sings "Pleasant Valley Sunday" non-stop. What is the story behind that?"

TWO GUYS creator and co-executive producer Rick Wiener tells us that Pete's penchant for "Pleasant Valley Sunday" came out of a rewrite session during which one of the writers spontaneously broke into song. (We can only assume he had had a long day!) Rick reports that everyone started laughing, only to be reminded of HAPPY DAYS and Richie Cunningham crooning "I Found My Thrill on Blueberry Hill" when his love life was going well. Everyone on TWO GUYS loved the idea, and it worked so well onscreen that Pete just keeps on singing.

(Rhonda's note: "Pleasant Valley Sunday", written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, was a #1 hit for the Monkees, and was also covered by Code of Ethics.)
