"The pizza place is gone. Its ego was out of control, and we couldn't put up with that," jokes TWO GUYS AND A GIRL's executive producer Kevin Abbott. "We tried to indulge it, we tried to negotiate in good faith, but it just wanted too much."
You know those Hollywood types! But seriously, when we called Kevin for the real story behind the disappearance of the gang's old stomping ground, he explained that it's all about re-focusing the show on the lives of Berg, Pete and Sharon.
"We're losing it because it just doesn't fit anymore," says Kevin. "It doesn't make sense that twenty-six year olds hang out in a pizza place."
Does this mean that the gang will now be confined to Berg and Pete's apartment? Not exactly, Kevin reveals. "We want to find an organic place rather than just trying to go find a cool set. We'll tell some stories and when we find a place that feels like a natural place that our characters would be going to a lot, we'll make that the swing set, but we won't put it in the title."
So now that TWO GUYS AND A GIRL is official, can we expect to see other changes when the show has its third season premiere on Wednesday, September 22?
"We left last season on a pretty big cliffhanger. The first two episodes will resolve all the cliffhanger questions, and spin the show in a different direction," confides Kevin.
