"Right, of course! What was I thinking!? We wouldn't be able to bring by horse all the stuff I wanted to pack to make this evening perfect!" he smiles sweetly and excuses himself to go pack up his car full of goodies for the evening.
Upon his return he finds you waiting on the front porch in a beautiful sun dress basking in the orange glow of the early evening sunset. He looks at you and is taken back with your appearance. "You look beautiful!" He takes your arm and escorts you over to the car, opening the door for you then taking his place behind the steering wheel.
The evening summer breeze blows through the open windows of the car as you both sing along to the tunes on the radio. Upon arrival at the empty beach you unpack the trunk, and spread out the blanket over the sand. Mike instructs you to take a seat while he starts the bonfire. When he is satisfied with the blaze he takes a seat next to you enjoying the warm glow off the fire as you both eat the scrumptious meal he has prepared. You both look out over the ocean as the sun sets and watch the waves roll in and hit the shore - it couldn't be more romantic!
After dinner Mike gets up, much to your disappointment, but returns with a smile holding his guitar. He returns to his place on the blanket and begins strumming on his guitar while singing you a song he has written especially for you. You are overwhelmed with emotion at his loving gesture. When he finishes his song he pulls the pick away from the strings and you notice it sparkle in the moonlight. He was using the back side of a ring which he has now positioned diamond side up in front of you. "Will you do
me the honor of being my wife?" You nod enthusiastically and throw your arms around him, kissing him, knowing this is the first day of the rest of your lives together.
