Part 5
* Still at Oz's place
After researching many hours at Oz's house everyone was resting, waiting for Giles to show up. They had decided that since they knew what they're where doing they where going to preform the ritual that night.
"I'm glad we dragged all these mattresses up to your room Oz, cause I'm SO tiered!" Cordelia whined from her spot on her mattress, for about the billionth time that night. Again Willow and Oz where on his bed, just snuggling.
"No problem Cordelia. Since where doing the ritual here, we might as well be as comfy as possible." One of the mattresses started to squeak, all eye's went to Kendra_ who was jumping on the mattress.
"..." The squeaking stopped, and Kendra smiled "It's like a trampoline, only more comfy!" She laid down on it and giggled. "Man you guys have it good"
"When are we going to give dead boy back his soul?" Xander was now sitting net to Cordy. Buffy looked over to Willow and Oz who where now kissing.
"Hey love birds? I hear Giles coming up the rode... And Xander?.. Stop calling Angel dead boy!, Other wise your going to be the dead boy. And I mean the DEAD!" She threw a pillow at Xander's head, and he fell backwards on to Cordelia.
"Now you get it Xander..." Cordelia replied, drawing Xander to her, she smacked him in the head and began to lip-lock with Xander. Buffy got up from her spot on the mattress, closest to the door.
"I'm going to answer the door before he rings the doorbell. He's die of heart failure! Put the Pizza box in the trash and the pop away!!! With that said she made her way down stairs to the front door.
"Hey Giles how's it going?" Buffy opened the door to find Giles making his way up the steps of the house. He had a large box with him. He se to be having seemed to be having a bit of trouble. Buffy took the box from him with ease.
"Hello Buffy." He replied while rubbing his eyebrows.
"Where going to be doing the ritual up in Oz's room. That way he can be comfortable, he's had a bit of a hard day."
"Fine, fine, show me the way." He looked over the house with Interest.
"Wait till you see Oz's room. It rocks. Hope you have some energy though!" They started up the stairs to Oz's room.
"Whoo, what an adventure" Giles grunted out as he got to the last stair. Buffy grandly opened the door.< Hey, nice to know they listen to what I ask.> The room was now clean, Pizza box under his bed, although you could see Cordelia and Xander had been smouching. Xander's lips where stained shiny pink, and Cordelia was yet again reapplying her lipstick. Her hair perfect as usual.
"Hello everyone... Kendra." He shook his head to say hello also. It must have been that British blood in him, that made him talk, act and dress that way. Must be. Buffy set down the box carefully on one of the mattresses, and Giles took off his shoes.
"Perfect. Red and Black candles. Whola, the stinky herbs are also a go. Oz wanna pass me a pillow? Thanks, oh, the Orb of Thesula I take? Impressive! Even matches. Good thinking Giles." Buffy was sorting through the box that Giles had brought over., everyone crowded around the box. The Orb of Thesula sat on the pillow Oz had given Buffy.
"Lets put the Candles in a circle, remember people, red, red, black, red, red, black." Oz took control, Buffy sit in the middle of the candles, bring the Orb of Thesula with you, sit cross legged. Everyone began to put the candles around Buffy. Buffy thought to herself. Oz who was reading out loud from the printed copy of the ritual to tell them what they were suppose to do.
"Make the circle bigger, I'm going to have to fit in the circle, beside Buffy. Good, good. Now Willow I want you to light the candles one by one." He said as he stepped into the circle, beside Buffy. "While Willow's lighting everyone else is to grab each others hands, to create a bonding circle." Oz grabbed Buffy's hands.
"It said the one who is in love with the damned one is to read it. But I have to warn all of you, this isn't going to be pretty, Willow you can't break away from the bond, cause if you do it won't work k? It has to stay locked. I'm going o appear that I'm in pain, but really it's my soul that's in pain, and it's a good pain, not a bad pain... Everyone ready? Cordelia Giles Xander put the herbs in front of you, Willow turn off the light." A second later the room became dark, yet the candles burned and lit up the room with an eery glow.
Oz closed his eye's and tried to relax. Buffy prepared the ritual in her head, there wasn't a sound in the room except for the light sound of breathing, and it seemed to melt completely away. Buffy began reading from the papers. Everyone closed there eye's and concentrated on the words the Slayer was saying. All of a sudden Buffy looked down, up and down again. Her eye's flashed. The person speaking was no longer Buffy the person, but someone from the past. Her voice became low and hoarse, she began to speak faster and faster. She was no longer looking at what was printed, but knowing all the words from memory. Buffy blinked and Oz let out a shriek of pain.
*Seconds before at the park
Drucilla fell to the ground" Oh no... My sweet sweet Angel. My dear Angel, my daddy." She sounded like a lost frightened kitten, Blood tears swam in her vision. Spike and Angel fell to her side.
"What is it Ducks?" Angel howled and fell away from them.
"There... There taking away my daddy, my family. I want my family Spikey. We worked so hard to get our family back." Spike pulled Drucilla and put her on his lap.
"Who's they my precious pet?"
"The Slayer... And her friends..." Spike and Drucilla not even noticing, Angel had gotten up and was running away, trying to run from the pain. He was enraged. He was going to get the Damn Slayer once and for all. He was going to get her, she was going to pay with her life. He fell onto the door step, unable to move.
The attic window that was open showed a group of people chanting, engulfed by a bright blinding light. He heard the chanting, the howls of pain coming from within. He lost all senses. His vision blurred then fell away to black. The howls from Oz and Angel intertwined and became one. The house shone so bright it became a true white, one no one could even imagine. Then it fell totally black. The ritual had been completed. The bedroom became light again, Kendra had gotten up and had turned the light on.
"Did it work?" Kendra looked from Buffy to Oz and back again.

" feel... Different.. I think it worked. WoW! That was weird, like really really wired, but kinda cool." Oz smiled at Willow.
"Who was doing that ritual? Cause that certainly wasn't me, that's for sure...." The room became silent once again, then aburtly became noisy with commotion. ""
Buffy didn't know she'd said it till Kendra said "I felt the same thing. Time for investigate." Buffy and Kendra both got up from there spots on the floor. Willow moved to lay beside Oz, Cordelia and Xander began once again to smouch. Giles just sat there, dumbfound. Buffy and Kendra moved towards the door. They heard a groan.
"It's Angel!" Buffy barely managed to squeaked out. The ran to the front door so fast Buffy could barely even keep up. Buffy flung the door open and there laid her Angel. She fell to her knees pulling him towards herself, She wept for joy, tears streamed down her face and cheeks Her smile became more alive then ever. It shone like a bright light. When her tears died down she found out she'd gotten the hick-ups from crying so hard. She held her breath as Kendra watched from the doorway, she too had been crying, for Buffy, her love, and for herself.
Angel remained unconscious. Buffy got up once again got to her feet, her and Kendra picked him up and made there way up the stairs to Oz's room. The room was in chaos. Although Giles was still sitting there. When they walked into the room everyone squealed "Is it really Angel? Your Angel, Buffy?" Willow was jumping up and down with joy.
"I don't know, he's unconscious right now, and I still have to make sure, but I really think it worked" They set him down, Giles didn't even look there way.
"Can I be the first to say Umm, Uh Oh?" Kendra asked
"You mean about Giles? He does that all the time now. He's done it before, he'll snap out of it in a few minutes. He's fine, just thinking about Jenny, I guess." Willow replied.
"Oh... Good. I think."
Buffy bent down over Angel and put her ears where Angels heart would be. She heard a faint wosh, wosh... wosh, wosh of his heart. She held his hand in her own small hand. She checked for his pulse and found one. She put her finger in his mouth to see if she could feel his fangs, she found none. His stomach came to life, begging for food, real food.
"He's made it!!!" Buffy looked up at all of her friends who surrounded her, all her true friends who stuck around even when the tuff got going. "Hey Oz, how ya felling?" Buffy asked.
"You know I've never felt better! I Have complete control of myself again. Check this out!" He grew a foot and a half. "I can tell myself when to do what! And I can be myself, even in my wolf form. I don't have any lushes anymore! Man I feel GREAT!" Oz began to play around with his new found powers. "Hey I won't need a Halloween costume anymore! Cool!" He grew fangs and everyone laughed.
"Cool! Hey funky Oz, I love you!" Willow whispered into Oz's ear, he changed back to his full human form and kissed her on the nose.
"But I love you more."
"Nu uh, I do." They got into a playful fight. Willow pinned Oz, but then Oz morphed to halfhuman, halfwolf and pinned her while tickling her. "Ahh! Buffy, help me!" Willow squealed.
Buffy sat down beside Angel and gathered him in her arms. "Come on Angel. Come on Angel... Time to wake up..." She whispered into his ears.
Angel twitched "Buffy? Buffy is that you? What happened? Why is it so dark in here?"
"Shush... Angel... My Angel. It's ok.. You... You_ you're human. We found a cure Angel... YOU'RE HUMAN!!! You just have to ajest a bit, that's why you think it's so dark." Buffy explained to Angel.
"You... You really found a ritual? And cured me. I'm human. I'm HUMAN??? I'm normal, a normal average human being?" Tears covered his face. Buffy raised her hand and brushed them away. She showed her hand to Angel.
"See? REAL tears Angel, REAL TEARS." Buffy and Angel kissed for a long while, only coming up when they really needed oxygen. "WOW!"
"WOW!"
"That... That was the best kiss I've ever had Angel. I've never even imagined it could be this good. Even in my wildest dreams! WOW!"
"Wow" Was all Angel could form and get out. "I... I think I'm hungry." All of a sudden the room went dark again, all eye's went to Giles. The lights flickered on a second later and Jenny stood, in front of Giles.
"Je.. Jenny?"
"Yes Rupert, It's me... I'm back" Now Giles and Jenny had their welcome back kiss. "I've never left you Rupert, I became part of the lost Angel. The past Angel, I knew you'd find the disk. I stayed in him, in his deepest thoughts.. In his lost, tormented soul. I waited for you, and now I'm back. For good... I think I'm hungry too though."
"I say we go pig out. We all deserve it, anyway's chips, pop and stuff are all calling our names... Right about now." Oz said. They all made there way to the kitchen. Buffy and Angel taking the rear.
"I missed you Angel, I never did give up on you." She grabbed Angels waist and drew him to her.
"I knew you wouldn't, I missed you too... When I was being transformed... I called out to you, but you where still sleeping. It hurt Buffy. My soul was ripped from me... Again. And it hurt, it hurt like Hell. But still I called out to you, hoping you's hear my cries my pleas. I begged myself not to become Angelus, but my demon, he was too strong. I missed you like I've never missed anyone in my whole entire life!" Angel had tears in his eye's again.
"Shush, my love, don't put you're self in anymore pain, you've suffered so much as it is. Too much I called for you in my sleep. God did I call you. I missed you. You where always on my mind, I breath you, I dreamed of you, I was you. I wasn't ready to let you go, I knew you where there. I... I appreciate you telling me though. God Angel, I love you, and Ill love you forever and ever, we get to grow old together now. Angel... You you're human. You can do normal humanly things. All is changed, and I'm thankful for it too. I wouldn't change a thing, all the pain, all the agony, and I wouldn't change a thing Angel."
They both wept in each other's arms for a long time.
"I wouldn't change a thing either Buffy. You're my life, good or bad. And I love you, it may be hard to understand, but I tortured you cause I loved you so much. I was Obsessed with you, I wanted to be the old Angel, so I could stay with you, but I was Angelus, it couldn't happen, I did the only thing I knew how... I tortured you. And I'm so sorry for all pain I've caused you, and all your friends and family. But never will I be sorry for all that has happened, I wouldn't have changed your birthday for anything Buffy, nothing in the world."
* * *
"Pizza guy" a knock came to the door.
"I can't believe it's only 11:00 Oz" said Willow taking an other swig of her pop. Buffy popped a chip into her mouth. *CRUNCH*
"Good Idea Oz, I love take out Pizza."
"Be right there." Oz began to make his way toward the front of the house, but Kendra insisted on getting the door. He handed her the 20@ and sat back down. He was hungrier than he thought.
"Hello" Kendra said as she pulled open the door.
"Hi, I'm Chad, I've got you're Pizza... You're new in town aren't you? Cause you know I don't really recognize you and all."
"You could say that" Kendra blushed and looked at Chad. " What school
do you go to?"
"Sunnydale high, like most people, you?" Chad asked.
"I'm pretty sure Ill be going to Sunnydale High, too."< Hum I wander what Neil'ss (I don't know, her watcher's name) number is... hee hee hee I wanna stay here with my friends.>
"Maybe I'll end up bumping into you..."
"I really hope so... I'd really love that." Kendra smiled at him.
"Hey! The pizza's the going to get cold Kendra, and where hungry people here!" Xander called from the kitchen.
Oz came out of the kitchen. "Oh.. Hey Chad. How's it going?"
"It's going, long day though."
"Then I guess we'd better let you get back to your route so you can go on home, huh?"
"Yeah, I guess. Bye Kendra... Oz." Kendra handed him the 20$ and reached for the pizza. Chad turned around and left.
"He was a cute one!"
"Yeah, he was Devon's younger brother. Devon and I are the leads in the band he was the singer, I'm the lead guitar, he helps us set up for gigs and stuff sometimes. He's real helpful. I like him, he's really nice too."
"Yup a cute one too... Hee hee hee." Kendra's eye's where glazed over, and a little smile played on her lips. Shaking her head, eye's cleared she said "Let's eat! I'm starved" Buffy thought to herself,
snuggling even closer to Angel
"I think were going to need some more Pizza, cause I think we should all get in on this bet." Kendra said from her chair in the kitchen. "I'll call... Keep the Pizza in the oven to stay warm, we don't want to have time to digest them or anything..."
"Good idea, but the pizza's better get here fast, cause I'm HUNGRY!" replied Angel. 10 minutes later they where all surrounded by pizza and Pop.
"Ok, Get ready... Get set... Go!!!" Giles cried diving for the pizza.

Angel piece of pizza in each hand looked at Xander" So how much have you consumed so far?"
"8 Pieces" He looked a bit green.
"HA, I've eaten a pizza and and a third!" Angel looked at the pizza in his hands and dug in yet again. Oz looked around the room.
"SO, I've had a pizza and a half..."
"Same!" Piped up Buffy and Cordelia at the same time "JINK'S!!!" They
looked at each other and laughed.
"That was really scary Cordy!" Buffy said.
"I've had 5 pieces" Giles called out from the couch.
"And I've had 10 pieces" Called out Miss Calender, from beside Giles.
"MAN are we PIGS or what? Hey Willow, how much have you had so far? Called out Oz.< She must be embarrassed about how little she's had so far.>
"Umm well do you really want to know?" Without waiting for a replied she continued in a rushed voice." Ok, ok, I had 3 pizza's so far..." She smiled.
"Ok, I think that Willow won this one." A burp popped in and all eye's went to Angel. "What??? I had a ton of pizza and a few cans of pop in the last few minutes, not to mention that I haven't been breathing for 242 years here" Everyone laughed.
"Oh.. Ohh, I think I have a god Idea" Cordelia called out.

Ok so it's a sucky ending but hey, next story (sequel to this) is coming out soon, I'm already in the middle of writing it, it just has to be put on the computer! Ok so I have to write more too, but hey give me a break here, anyway, I really hope you liked my story cause I worked hard on it. I feel satisfied, and if you ask me it ends better then the season finally!
