"Male Slayer"

Part 9

It took her three tries to finally open her locker. Willow and Oz had yet to be able to see her. She headed to the showers on the opposite side of the room and turned the water on full blast, jetting the hot water. Steam rose from the tiny stall where she stood and continued on steaming up the rest of the showering area. She stripped down and hopped into the scoldingly hot shower.

She let the water stream down her, perhaps it was more of a cleansing to her. She let the water mingle and mix with her own tears as she lifted her face to the shower head as she let out gut wrenching sobs that shook her so entirely that it hurt. Her screams echoed of the hollow shower walls, making it sound like a confused, lost, and very hurt animal. She was pounding her fist against the hard shower stall out of hurt and confusion.

It took many moments for her to hear the hard banging on the outside of the shower stalls. Willow was yelling out at her. "Buffy?... Buffy?... Buffy? You ok in there? Are you ok Buffy? Buffy?!?" Willow's voice became louder and more urgent. "Just... just leave me alone.... Just leave me alone" Buffy wailed. The young Slayerette would hear none of it. She heard the shower door lock unlock it's self, and a few seconds later re lock again.

Not a second to soon, Buffy had reached for her towel and had wrapped it quickly around her small, narrow and slim frame. She turned the water off even before the towel got wet from it. When she turned around, Willow was standing there facing Buffy with a look of worry on her face.

She held her arms open to Buffy. Buffy threw herself into the tight embrace of her best friend. She stood still and let willow just hug her, comfort her. Buffy's wet hair fell forward and covered her face, getting Willows chest all wet, and mixing in with the salty tears that silently fell onto Willow's shoulder without a sound. After few minutes Buffy was able to calm down some.

"Thanks Willow." She said silently. Not really wanting to look at Willow, but knowing just how much she needed to. " I guess I really needed that." She gathered herself up and wrapped her hair in a other towel Willow had brought her. She made sure the one around her body was secured tightly and followed Willow into the open change room.

Oz was sitting on the bench, Still wearing only his boxers. He was completely at ease in front of her. Even though she was in almost nothing. He'd been waiting patiently for them to come out. He didn't even seem to notice she was dressed only in a short white towel that didn't even reach her mid thighs. Buffy pulled at the hems to see if she could make it appear any longer.

Oz looked at Buffy in the eye. "You doing any better there Buffy? You seemed pretty down a little while ago." He leaned back on one arm and gaze back and forth between the two girls.

"Yeah, thanks. Guess I just needed a good cry, you know."

"Do indeed know. Feels nice to get it all out. I do the same myself." Suddenly realizing Buffy was standing there freezing cold, and shaking and that she needed to change turned his back on her to give her privacy. She held her clothes close to her body for a second. Willow joined Oz and they silently began talking to one another in hushed voices.

Buffy quickly pulled on the short baby blue princess cut dress over her head. It had thin spaghetti straps and reached her mid thigh. She slipped her feet into a pair of strappy white saddles to go with the white flowers on the the pattern of the dress. She slowly began working the knots out of her hair. She took two small strands of hair from beside her temples and pulled them up, creating a Irish look to her whole ghetto.

She finished by putting on her makeup and went back to her locker to put everything away. Willow had seated herself beside Oz, he held her right hand in both of his. They where talking in their normal voices. When Buffy closed her locker door, they both came to.

They both stood up and got fully dressed again, Willow ran a brush quickly threw her hair and they went to stand beside Buffy.

"So, what is up Buffy? It it just your normal day here in Sunnydale?" Oz asked joyfully as he grabbed Willows hand once again. He and Willow began swinging their arms back and forth in synch and to there own little tune as they exited the gym through the change room.

"The day," Buffy started as she laughed "That Sunnydale becomes your typical normal day is the day is the day pigs sprout wings, turn green, and fly over the moon upside down singing to themselves. As in, why would there ever be a normal day here in Sunnydale?"

"So... What would be so out of the normal today then?" Willow asked, now curious.

"Well, to start it of, we have a new Slayer in town..." Buffy said none chantly.

"Oh... Is Faith.... Well, you know!!!" Willow pulled a slender finger across her neck, and made what she though would be a dead face.

"Not a clue." Great, something else Buffy had to look into now.

"What is her name?" Oz asked.

"Chad... Chad Millers." Buffy replied lightly.

"Chad, isn't that the name of a guy or something?" Willow asked. Her brows came together, and you could see the wheels turning in her head trying to figure it out.

"Yup." They entered the library, with the doors closing heavily behind them, and in the faces of two other students who had been about to enter the library. Once it closed, the two students left with a look of disgust on their faces.

Part 10

"CHAD!" Buffy called out. He appeared from Giles private office holding many leather bound books.

"Yup?" He asked with barely even looking up from the piece of work he was reading, He finally saw the two people who stood beside Buffy. He took a step back from them, immediate shock of seeing her with two other people he didn't know. "Umm..." He muttered, not knowing what to do, either stay, run, or to speak or stay silent. He frozen to the spot.

"Willow, Oz, meet Chad. The new Slayer. Chad, meet Willow and Oz, two of my best friends in the whole world. Also known as two of the four Slayerettes." Buffy introduced them to one an other.

Oz's jaw dropped. "Ok, He... he's a guy. How can he be a Slayer?"

"You're asking me? Not a clue." Buffy said with a flip of her hair. She looked at Chad and smiled, trying to clam him down again.

"Hey, Chad. Nice to meet you." Willow said as she offered him her hand. He just stared at it, not knowing what to do. Colour was slowly starting to creep up his neck, cheeks and ears.

"Hey, Jeez Chad!" Buffy took his hand and placed on Willows, pulling his hand up and down in a shaking motion. There for, she got him to shake Willows hand.

Oz then offered Chad his hand. Chad excepted. "Hey man, nice to meet you... you like, don't have anything against Werewolfs, do you? Cause, if you do... I'm like, not one. And I'm also very out of here..." He said slapping Chad on his back.

"Werewolfs? There's Werewolfs too? Man, this the ~I'm the Chosen One. I'm the chosen~ one is getting weirder and scarier with every passing moment." Chad was shaking his head.

                Oz raised an eyebrow.

"What? He's only been a Slayer for a few weeks, what would you expect?" Buffy said, amusement was evident in her voice, and it twinkled in her eyes. "Yup werewolves are real, Oz is one of them. Having to chain himself up three times every new moon. I'll explain everything else out more in details later on."

"Well, I guess I'm fine with it. So no need to go a running from me kay? I need a guy around." Chad looked at Oz.

Oz grinned brightly and pulled his hand out of Chad's grip. Chad was silent for a moment. "Hey, Buffy, I thought you where suppose to be secret and all that other stuff." He looked confused by this.

"Yeah, I know. But, Umm..." She stammered as she tried to come up with a reason.

"Buffy is different then most Slayers. There are a few people who know about her Slaying abilities. She goes by some different rules then other Slayers go by." Giles helpfully put in for her.

"Yup, you will find my life different from most peoples, and from most Slayers also. Actually, I go different than anyone, people or Slayers. Well, I lead a different life than anyone to say the least. My boyfriend actually has got to be the most far out, weirdest thing that has ever happened to any Slayer. Angel, he was the guy I was talking about before?"

"Oh, yeah, how you talked and stuff all seemed pretty weird, going to check up on him so early and everything."

"Yeah, I know, it gets weirder too. Anyway's. He's a Vampire..." Buffy started.

"WHAT?" Chad yelled out, interrupting Buffy in mid sentence.

"I wasn't done Chad. He has a soul. He's good. The Romani..."Buffy continued patiently. Chad gave her a look that said 'What the heck?'

"Gypsies in other words, gave him back his soul. We've been through some very rough times as you hear me talking about earlier. You must have caught on that he was a Vampire.... I'll have to tell you more about it some other time. Maybe.

I also have a friend Xander who knows I'm a Slayer, so does this girl Cordelia. You will meet them both here later on... Cordelia likes to hang around the library cause she's attracted to a certain Watcher." She eyed Wesley who turned his back to her.
