We first see Tara in "Hush" at a wiccan meeting Willow attended. Tara and Willow while practing there powers together develpoed a relationship, make her one of the gang. Tara helped with fighting the badguys, Glory even made her crazy in season 5, then Willow restored her mind. In season 6 Tara broke up with Willow who was using magic too much. In "Seeing Red" the day after they made up Warren accidently shot and killed Tara (he was trying to kill Buffy). Willow hunted Warren down and killed him in "Villians".
