I think that he might be a demon himself but more
like the guy helping Angel in "Becoming". Sort of a
nemesis to good, when evil seems to be losing he s
there to give evil a boost.

I really think Snyder is some deamon that is well
not
exatically good and not exaticaly bad. He seems
more
evil to me, and he knows about the hellmouth and
all,
so he seems very suspicious to me. So over all I
think he is an evil person, and that they will
probably develop his character more in the 3rd
season...I hope.

I think Snyder is a washed up nerd from High
School, that could never get date or get laid. So
he's High School Principal making everyon's lives
hell, while getting his own little "revenge"

OK, just follow me on this one, I think that
Snyder is working for the U.S. Government (hence
him calling the govenor in "Becoming Part 2") and
someone in the government, maybe the govenor, is a
vampire that is trying to track down Buffy. So that
is Snyder's job and I think that sometime in the
third season Snyder is going to die and the vampire
he is working for is going to be really mad and
take matters into his own hands, and try to kill
Buffy, but instead of this just being a regular
vampire I think he's going to be much stronger and
it's going to take a couple episodes to get rid of

I agree Snyder's an undercover agent (something like advanced in ALL government intelligence/ secret services) and knows about everything, probably has cameras in the library! His intentions are from his superiors, he's into world domination just waiting for the right moment! (Kinda like Pinky and the Brain. =) Or maybe he's into Buffy like total obsessed and really wants her and hopes to be more than a principal! (just kidding)

I think that Synder is probably working with the government and/or demon to get rid of Buffy, thus he expelled her from school and tried to get her arrested and put in jail for murder.

Snyder is really a Nazi with a bug up his butt the size of Texas. In the Season Finale, Buffy went to Oklahoma to slay those Hanson chicks..

My thery on the principal is that the mayor put him there to cover up the vampire messes and what buffy does. If the town knew about the vampires in the city and moved out the mayor would be out of job.

well, Im sure that he was simply a nerd in High school, never got any dates etc etc. He became principle to get revenge on all teenage girls . they are the ones who mocked him the worst (in his creepy little head). But, Snyder is not evil. He has no choice, the mayor sold his soul to the Devil and works for him. Snyder can only do what he is told as far as the mayor goes, however it does help him that Buffy is beautiful and popular (this gives him just the amount of angst needed). So he picks on Buffy out of his own desire to get back at the 'cute' girls, and he works for The Mayor. Satan and built up hostility.. he's just an annoying man in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I think that Snyder is being used. He thinks that he's in charge, but he's going to be the guy that everything is put on if they get caught. He's going to be the scape-goat.
