oey Potter has had a pretty rough life.  He mom died of cancer, her dad's in prison for trafficking marijuana.  She lives with her sister, Bessie, her sister's boyfriend, Bodie, and their son, Alex.  Joey also has to work at her sister's restaurant, The Icehouse, which runs her completely down.  What Joey hangs onto to keep her sanity is her best friend, Dawson Leery.  That's even beginning to get hard for her.  Eversince Jen Lindley came to town, her relationship with Dawson has been changing.  She has started to fall in love with him.  Nothing makes sense to her anymore.  Joey has got to dig in deep within herself to find the answers to her problems.

acey Witter always has a sly grin on his face and a sarcastic remark to throw.  Pacey has always able to turn a problem in his life into a joke.  But things haven't been so funny for Pacey lately.  He's had an affair with his English teacher, is having troubles with his dad (the Chief of Police in Capeside), and is living in the shadow of his brother, Doug.  On top of his own problems, he has been helping his best friend, Dawson, with his.  And between his time with Dawson and the time he spends dealing with the rest of his dysfunctional life, Pacey trades insults with his other best friend, Joey (scroll up).  It seems that a causual joke and his school boy smile can't cover up all of his hardships.  Pacey has to quit kidding around to fix the pile of problems that he calls his life.
