I, Alison, do solemnly swear that my weekly fanfic, Shopping at Home Can be Fun, can only be seen on Lisa's fabulous website for whatever week this is, K?

Thanx and praise goes to Lisa, Ro, Jenn, and Mel for doing what they all do best. In order (patience, logic, friendliness, and bluntness). =) Unfortunately, I have no food to thank for inspiration for this story, instead I have to thank my TV and cable for providing the Home Shopping Network.

"So, what do you want to watch Jo?" Pacey asked her from the couch in her living room.
"Owww!" Joey screamed in agony from her place on the couch next to him.
"What? Joey what's wrong? What can I do to help?" he asked, genuinely concerned.
"Well, you can do one of several things. First, you can go back to about 20 minutes ago and move that damn glass from the top shelf in my kitchen so it wouldn't have fallen on me or you can go get Dawson back from Maryland cuz he always takes care of me much better than you." she said holding an ice pack up to the knot on her head, with obvious pain in her voice.
"Jo, I'm gonna ignore the last part of that cuz I know that it's just the pain talking and believe me if I could get Dawson back from Maryland or get a time machine and protect you from that glass I would, if not for you, for me. But, I can't. So, you are stuck with me and you are gonna have to either pick a movie or a TV show to watch." Pacey said trying to remain calm.
"Fine. ET."
"No, not any chance. I'm not Dawson. Sorry Jo, but you are just gonna have to save that for movie night."
"Fine, let's just watch TV then." she said giving up.
Pacey grabbed the remote and started flipping through the channels. He stopped when he reached the Home Shopping Network. Pacey had no idea why, but this channel was addictive. No matter what, you always catch yourself watching it for no apparant reason. Joey, however, managed to avoid the channel's appeal.
"Pacey, there is no way in hell that I am watching this pathetic rip-off merchandise. Give me the remote."
"No way!" he said pulling the remote out of her reach.
She continued to try and grab it away from him and they play fought for a few minutes over the remote until she ended up on top of him with him holding her wrists and their faces no more than 6 inches apart. They could both feel the tension and the attraction between them and they slowly moved closer. Then, Joey took the brief moment of release from their fighting to grab the remote out of Pacey's hands and switched the channel as she rolled off of him. Pacey exhaled loudly and looked at Joey hoping for a reaction.
However, Joey was trying her hardest to display a feeling of indifference.
She kept flipping through the channels and discovered there was absolutely nothing on.
"Can we please go back to the Home Shopping Network Joey? They are doing leather goods, who knows maybe you can find something to entertain your recreational tastes!" he said with a laugh.
Joey gave in and turned the tv back to HSN.
"....take a look everybody, a brand new, top of the line Gucci leather purse. Comes in black, green, red, and brown and has a gold clasp. All of this can be yours for just $49.95...." the announcer said from the TV screen.
"What a rip off!" Joey exclaimed.
"Why? Too much to pay for a Gucci purse?"
"No, because that isn't a Gucci purse. I saw that same Gucci purse in Dillard's last week for $250, the only difference was, the one in the store was a real Gucci purse, from Italy. That purse on the screen is made of cheap materials that were made in Taiwan." she told him in her know it all tone of voice.
"How can you be so sure of that Joey? How do you know that isn't an actual Italian Gucci purse?" Pacey said in his know it all voice.
"Have you ever bought anything from this network?"
"Actually, yes. I bought my mom a pair of diamond earrings for $29.95" he said proud of himself.
"Pacey, there isn't a diamond in the world, yet alone a pair of them, that you can buy for $29.95. I bet you anything that you could take those earrings to any jewelry store and find out that they are nothing more than cubic zirconia surrounded by gold spray painted pieces of steel."
"Fine, maybe you are right. But, that doesn't mean that leather purse isn't real."
They both turned back to the screen where the announcer was proudly displaying a braided black leather belt.
"See Jo, I told you that you could find something to fit your tastes. Maybe I should call and see if they have a leather whip, a cat o' nine tails perhaps?" he said with a smirk and a sarcastic tone.
"Bite me Pacey."
"Oooh, I knew you were into that kind of stuff!" he said with a laugh. She playfully hit him and they resumed their fight over the quality of leather products on TV.
"Real."
"Fake."
"Real."
"Fake times 2." she said thinking about their numerous childhood fights that had resorted to the multiplication of words.
"Real times 10" he said thinking the same thing.
"Fake times infinity." she said hitting him.
"Real to the power of infinity." he said hitting her back.
They quit the verbal fight and just started playfully hitting each other until they were in an all out war with each other. They rolled around on the couch and eventually fell onto the floor still hitting and tickling each other. Out of breath and exhausted they slowly quit hitting and felt the tension rise between them once again. This time Pacey was on top of Joey and his hands rested on her hips and hers on his chest. They slowly moved closer together, realizing what was going on between them. Their fighting was a cover up, they did it to keep themselves from admitting their feelings for each other. Slowly, Pacey lowered himself onto Joey and for the first time, she didn't resist. Their hormones running rampant, Joey reached up and pulled Pacey's face to hers joining them in an earth shattering kiss. At that moment they realized how right the kiss felt and deepened the already passionate kiss. They let their hands roam each other's bodies and eventually broke away from each other, completely breathless.
"OK, I guess it could be fake." Pacey said with a laugh.
"No, I think you convinced me that it very well may have been real." she said with a laugh as well.
"Are we ever gonna agree on this?" he asked her.
"I doubt it, but we will sure have fun trying!" she said as she pulled him down to her for another long, sweet kiss.
Pacey laughed and then pulled himself off of her and stood up.
"Hey! What are you doing?" she asked as he offered her his hands to help her up.
"Well, as much as I would love to do this right here, and right now, it isn't right. I mean, Bessie and Alex will be home in about 20 minutes and I have to be at work in 2 hours. So, if we are really gonna do this, any of it, we need to go talk first."
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" she said with a small smile.
"Under the docks or the treehouse?" he asked with the same small smile.
"Your choice" she said.
He grabbed her hand and lead her down to their favorite childhood spot, underneath the north dock.
"God, we haven't been here since we were about 11!" she exclaimed. "Jo, look!" Pacey said pointing to the carvings in the wood above them. It read, "PW + JP + DL = BFFE"
"I remember the day we did that!" Pacey said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his leather wallet. Inside, he retreived a small photo of the 3 of them at about 8 years of age asleep underneath the dock. Mr. Leery had taken the picture after spending 2 hours looking for the 3 of them after they didn't come home for dinner. As he put the photo back in his wallet Joey grabbed it from him.
"So Pacey, is this real leather?" she said with an evil look in her eye.
"I don't know. You tell me, you are the expert!"
"Well, let's discuss it later." she said as she pulled him close to her once again.
As they began to kiss, Pacey reached into his questionably fake leather wallet, removed a condom and pulled Joey's green leather jacket away from her shoulders. One thing led to another and Joey and Pacey made love right there under the docks with the world passing above them. They looked deeply into each other's eyes and at the same time said, "Fake."
