I, Allison, agree that my untitled story can only be posted on the DC Fan Fic Forum under the topic of "Swimming Pools" for the week of 7/19. Thanks!

Joey and Pacey are sitting on the docks trying to decide whether or not to take a swim.
SPLASH!! A kid jumps in the water splashing Joey and Pacey slightly.
"Ahh, summer in Capeside. I don't think I'd mind it that much if we didn't have to swim in the stupid creek."
"I agree with you Pace, I really hate it when sand gets in that stupid pouch in my bathing suit. Then you feel all gross and the sand really never completely comes out of that mesh material..."
"Why are you telling me this Jo? Don't you think I hear enough about sandy-crack from my sisters?" Pacey is hot, tired and very sick of waiting around for Joey to get over Dawson.
"Sorry, but I really want to go swimming--just not in the creek. What can we do, it's not like we belong to the country club or anything. I may as well go home." Joey gets up to leave but Pacey grabs her arm and pulls her back down on the dock.
"I have a great idea Jo, hows about we swim in a pool?" he says secretively.
"But like I just said, neither of us belong to the country club," she said slightly annoyed. Then he starts whispering in her ear.
"No Pacey, we'll get in trouble," Joey protests.
"For once just trust me Jo."

Two hours later at a community pool in the nearby town of Ridgemore. Pacey bribes the guy who's running the check in center with a twenty.
"Why is it that you're so good with the bribery thing Pace?" Joey thinks back to her memory of Pacey bribing the gaurd to help her.
"So sue me for having talent. Besides shouldn't you be thanking me for driving us up here and then not making you pay half the bribe?"
"Oh, go change into your suit," Joey says as she walks into the ladies changing room.

Pacey's lounging on the pool deck waiting for Joey to emerge from the dressing room.
"This day is great. I've got the girl I want alone. No Dawson to wreck things," he thinks to himself. " Now if only I could get her to see me as a boy and not as just a friend."
"Excuse me, is this seat taken?" he hears Joey say in a seductive voice.
"What's with you Jo? Let's jump in the water alread..." He lost his train of thought as he looks up to see her wearing a skimpy black and white dotted bikini.
"Hello? Earth to Pacey?" Joey had hoped this would be his reaction. She has trouble understanding why she wants to impress Pacey...he is pretty cute in those green trunks, but he's Pacey. "Let's get in, it's hot as hell out here."
"My thoughts exactly Jo."

They jump in and after a half hour of playing get into a serious splashing fight. Joey pushes Pacey's head under the water and he sinks down to the bottom of the pool.
"Pacey," she laughs, "come back up now and let me finish beating you to a pulp!" He stays at the bottom. "This isn't funny anymore Pacey!" Joey says nervously. He's been at the bottom of the pool for 30 seconds now.
"Fine, I'm coming down to get you Pacey. You better not be joking around with me!" Joey swims to the bottom of the pool and pulls Pacey up to the surface. He spits water at her and starts laughing.
"GRR! Pacey! I was worried you were drowning! You are such a bastard!" Joey swims to the side of the pool preparing to jump out.
Coming to his senses, Pacey rushes to where Joey is climbing out.
"I'm sorry Jo, I didn't think you'd get so upset. I never knew you cared. I was only trying to get you back for pushing me under the water. Please don't leave. We were having so much fun before!" Pacey begged, hoping he hadn't lost his chance with her. "Aww Jo, I'm so sorry. Will you ever forgive me?"
A smile crept over Joey's face. "Not until I get an apology kiss!"
Her response startled Pacey, but he recovered quickly and pulled her into a deep embrace in the middle of the pool.
"How are we gonna tell Dawson?" Pacey asked later on with a very worried look on his face.
"Who cares!" Joey replied.
