Winner, July Award for Best Dawson/Joey Fanfic
 Summary
This series takes place in the future, when Joey and Dawson have a chance meeting in California. When Joey becomes pregnant, though, things between them change. Jen and Pacey also have their own set of problems to deal with, including a troubled fiance. This amazingly written series keeps readers coming back again and again.

Hobbies/Interests: I LOVE Lacrosse, Basketball, Field Hockey, Watchin' DC, of
course, parties, talkin' on the phone, etc., and of course gallavanting about
with my friends =)
Favorite character and why: My favorite character is probably Joey because of
her witty comebacks and her sarcasm. She's one of those characters that are
more or less MEANT to be the favorite, y'know?
Character you most identify with and why: I can't say they I identify with any
of them. I don't have a messed up past like Joey, a fairy tale outlook on life
like Dawson, I'm not TOO much of a screw up like Pacey, and I'm not a slut at
all, like Jen.
Favorite possible storyline: I have so many, I really don't think I'll be able
to name them all.
Why did you write this series? What did you hope to accomplish? I started this series because I have WAY too
much free time on my hands and I love Dawson's Creek, so...I just hoped people would like my series and
maybe even be inspired to write their own series. (I know it sounds corny, but
hey)
Thoughts on:
James -- I think James VD Beek is a pretty good actor. I especially thought he
acted really well in the season finale, he pulls off Dawson incredibly well. I
can't imagine ANYONE doing that character as well as he does.
Katie -- I think Katie Holmes is a great actress. Not a lot of people can pull
off that sarcastic image believably, but she does. I also think she's really
pretty and we'll see her a lot on the big screen in the future, even though
Disturbing Behavior isn't doing great in the box office.
Michelle --Even though she is the youngest on the show, I think she is a good
actress....but I don't like her character at all, and I don't know the REAL
Michelle, so...I'll have to leave it at that.
Josh -- Like everyone else, I think Joshua Jackson is a great actor. He showed
he was really professional by being able to do all those scenes with the
character that played Miss. Jacobs
Kevin -- I am a total Kevin Williamson fan! I loved SCREAM, SCREAM II, and I
KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER. I can't wait for the sequel to I KNOW. And of
course I am probably one of the biggest Dawson's Creek Fans in the world!
Thoughts on:
Dawson -- I think Dawson is more or less a total, oblivious, dreamer. I really
like how he always goes to Joey for help or comfort, it's hard to find
friendship that strong. But you would think if they have known each other for
so long that Joey would be more comfortable around his parents, but it seems
like she isn't..maybe it'sb/c she found out about his mother's affair in the
first ep..but I've always wondered....
Joey -- My fave character....I think Joey is a very interesting character b/c
of her cynism (spelling?) and sarcasm. But you kinda have to wonder if she is
SOOOO incredibly poor, then how come she has soooo many clothes? I mean have
you ever seen her wear the same outfit, twice? While in Jen's case she wears
the same purple shirt, and green button down shirt over and over and over
again! You just kinda have to wonder....I think Joey hides behind her sarcasm
and cynism to shield her from being hurt like she was when her mother died and
her father was arrested.
Pacey -- Pacey is probably my second fave character on the show. However the
producers, or whoever, haven't really told us, the viewers, very much about
him, except that he's more or less the town screw up. But WHY is he a screw
up? Just because he lost a pee wee baseball game? And he "made up" that affair
with Tamara? Or b/c he gets bad grades? That may mean he's a...disturbed
child, but far from the "town screw up". We don't know much about his family
or back ground so maybe that's why he intrigues me so much.
Jen -- I'm probably one of hundreds that don't like Jen. BECAUSE I think if she
didn't come to town at the time she did then Joey and Dawson would have ended
up getting together sooner. And since I am such the Joey/Dawson fan, I happen
to resent her for that! But i do have to admit that I admire the way she
stands firm with her beliefs even though her grandmother more or less
brainwashes her to believe that prayer is the best extra curricualr activity.
Thoughts on this award: WOW! When I saw that you were giving out one, I really
didn't think that I would win at all. The response to my stories was really
good, but I never expected this. I think it's good that you're giving one out
because it gets the authors motivated to keep on writing. I know I will try to
write the next part as soon as I can.
Thank yous: I'd like to thank all of my fans who voted for my series, without
you I wouldn't be writing this =) I would especially like to thank Michelle
who always wrote with encouraging words, even though I haven't heard from her
lately (ahem! just kidding!)
