Nabiki's Room Decorations

As I entered the CL Headquarters after spending the week in a mission, I find everyone running from on side of the headquarters to the other, with hammers and nails in their hands. I stopped North and asked her what was going on. North told me that it’s remodeling time and everyone can remodel their room. I instantly loved the idea and thanked North for the intel.

I stud in my room, looking around trying to imagine what I would want in my room. So I decided to decorate my room remembering a summer day at my homeland, because lately I had been feeling homesick.

The first thing decision was to change the rugs to a light ivory color that would remind me of the beautiful sands of our beaches. Next came the walls, so I painted 3 of the walls in baby blue which made me think of the sky. On the 4th wall, right were I decided to put my bed I painted a sun, changing between shades of red, orange and yellow. As for the bed, I decided to get the bed sheets and comforters with bright blue color that would remind me of the ocean. I had the 3 things I missed the most, the sky, the sun and the ocean.

Next step, I decided to get a desk for my computer and set it on the right side of the room, right next to the bookshelf. On the left side of the room, I chose to put a futon, with a taupe mattress and some pillows that were red, orange and yellow. Next to it a small table with a lamp that was decorated with marine objects.

The room was looking exactly as I wanted but still there was a couple of details that weren’t ready yet. I decided to put my TV set and the VCR in a top shelf beside the closet, and a small artificial plant underneath it. The next detail was to put on the walls a couple of pictures from my homeland. The first one would be from the rain forest, then next one of the Morro Castle (an old fortification, from 1602), and the last one was from a sunset on the beach.

So, it was done, just as I wanted it. I went to the kitchen to get something to drink and came back. I needed one more thing. I went to the stereo and turned on a CD. Ahhh, this was heaven. The sound of the Ocean. Someone knocked at my door. When I answered it Michael was standing right in front of me with a bouquet of white roses. It was time to celebrate!!
