Curtain Call

Hanwei's artistic personal aura makes him a good choice as lead actor for this show. The show is about  how he became interested in the dying art of Fujian opera and revived it by bringing it to modern theatre.  In Taiwan it has  the highest viewership rating amongst all the TCS telemovies shown there.

Hanwei played a stage director who chanced upon University mate (played by Ann Kok).  She comes from a family who used to perform Fujian opera at the roadside.

His interest in opera grew. Finally he persuaded   the  Arts Council to have a Fujian opera show   during the Arts Festival.

He introduced modern techniques to the show and directed it. It was  a great success.
