Pear Capital of the World Kelseyville, "Pear Capital of the World", is a friendly country town and is the business center for Big Valley, Lake County's agricultural area with acres of wine grapes, pears, and walnuts. Kelseyville is near Clear Lake State Park and Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa and Mt. Konocti dominates the skyline. The Taylor Planetarium and Observatory is operated by the Lake County Office of Education and has a 12 -1/2" reflector telescope. Also near by is the argicultural community of Finley. Top of Page.
