HINE, b. abt 1876; Edwin E. HINE, b. 29 Nov 1880 in Northfield, d. 14 Nov 1958 in Torrington CT; Otis HINE & twin sister Frances HINE b. 29 Apr 1883 in E. Litchfield. My great great grandmother, Mary Ann Burrows, b. 4/4/1837 in Mystic or Stonington CT was married in Mystic, CT on Oct 24, 1854 by the Rev. Mr. Cogswell in a Methodist church which was moved from its original site by 1904, when my gggrandparents visited from Hawaii, where they resided. His name was James A. Lyle,b. 12/11/1833. a ship builder in Mystic who came with his father from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. Mary Ann was a Brown (Thomas Brown, Jr., John Brown, Eleaszer Brown of Stonington, CT.-John is descent-)(mother, Nancy Mary Brown, (240)) and the rest of her progenitors are listed in her cousin Cyrus Henry Brown's BROWN FAMILY GENEALOGY, 1907. She is not, living in Hawaii and out of touch with Cyrus. I am looking for the Burrows family connections (father, William Burrows) in Stonington, CT or Mystic. Also, her great grandmother was Esther Williams (31 in Williams Family) but I don't know where to find the Williams family of Stonington records. (Descentfrom Robert Williams, son of Stephen and Margaret Cook Williams, b. 1598, came to America on the ship Rose from Great Yarmouth, England., 1635.

Looking for birth, death, or marriage record of RHODA CHIDSEY of East Haven, CT, b. 21 Jul. 1764, dau. of John,Jr.(4) [John(30, Ebenezer(2), John(1)]. She prob. had a son, William, Jr., by William Seymour of Greenwich and later of Newburgh, NY. Son, William Seymour, Jr. was born in Greenwich, 8 Dec. 1785, removed to Newburgh and later (ca.1803) removed to Delaware Co., NY accompanied, I believe, by RHODA CHIDSEY. She died 26 Mar. 1820, but I know not where. Her CHIDSEY family was a prominent East Haven family, arriving from England in the 1600s.

DOUD - searching for maiden name/ancestry of Mary (b. c. 1727 d. 23 June 1807 Guilford/Madison, CT) wife of Ebenezer Doud (1707-1789) of Guilford/Madison, CT. There is apparently no vital record of the marriage, her maiden name is not given in Talcott's "Families of Early Guilford", and no clues were found searching Deeds for Doud family. Was cruising the net and queried my maiden name and came across a bunch of Dufrat's located in Connecticut. The name not being very common I wonder if I'm related to any of them. I hail from Canada, I believe our name was changed when my great grandfather, John Dufrat, came to Canada in the late 1800's or early 1900's from Poland. KELLOGG / KELLOCK -- The 1790 census has a MORTON KELLOCK (2 WM>16, 3WM 16 and under, 4WF) and a JOSEPH KELLOCK (1 WM>16, 2 WF)in adjacent households in Waterbury. I have reason to believe these were actually MARTIN and JOSEPH KELLOGG. One source places my ancestor Martin Kellogg (b.abt.1728, d.1797) in nearby WaterTOWN, but I suspect he may have actually lived in WaterBURY and that this "Morton Kellock" is him. My Martin Kellogg m. a woman named Olive, last name unknown. Martin and Olive Kellogg's childen were Tabitha (b.1767), Martin (b.1768, m. __ Cooper), Joseph (b.1770), Edward (b. 1772, m. Huldah Ludington), Samuel (b. 1774), Olive (b. 1776), Moses (b. 1778, m. Sally Scott), and Daniel (b.1780. Any information on KELLOGG/KELLOCK, COOPER, LUDINGTON, and/or SCOTT in Waterbury would be appreciated.
