I am working on my MBA project and, being a life long Expat, Germnay, Middle East, Japan, etc. have selected a subject close to the heart of many Expats. Why is it, when returning from an overseas posting that so many of us leave our original company within the first year? With all that experience that we bring back with us, you would expect our companies to want to use our experience to improve theeir business. So I have have titled my project: The Problems Faced by Expat Returnees. I would like to hear from anyone who would share their experiences, particularly those during the first year after returning, with me. With a bit of luck and some good information from you I can come up with something that will make all of our lives easier. For your info, I lasted 15 months after retuning last time. It could be a record! Thanks in advance for taking the time to think about this. |
