FCARC Club REPEATERS
The Franklin County Amateur Radio Club has it's repeator site located
about 2 miles N on HWY 96 from the intersection of HWY 96 and US 1, near
Youngsville, NC. The tower is about 185 feet tall and is the location for
the FCARC/TEARA Field Day events.
This picture was shot on a
very dismal, wet day, in March,
and, if you look closely, you'll
see some of our antenna systems.
This is a picture of the FCARC Repeater Shack. It is all aluminum in
construction and has quite a bit of history behind it. It was originally
used by a railroad company as a kitchen for rail employees. Purchased by
KD4MYE, it was later refurbished by stripping old flooring out and replacing
all the electrical systems. It is currently being used to house the
repeaters.
