The topic I've chosen to do is Las Vegas. Las Vegas is one of the most visited sections of the United States. Although Vegas has many beautiful surroundings, people come to Vegas for a good time and the chance of winning millions of dollars in 1 of the hundreds of casinos. Las Vegas is well known for it's glitter and non-stop gaming action. Each hotel on the main strip is beautiful and worth millions of dollars to build. Some of the links I have included show you just how beautiful these hotels are and the usenet newsgroups and general information sites tell you all about Vegas and give you the idea of the number of people who are interested in going to Vegas and the number of people who visit each year.

The sites shown in this exam were found by being subscribed to the Bestweb mailing list and through various search engines like Yahoo and Excite. I also found some sites through some of the vegas sites and newsgroups that are included.

For the final exams rating scheme, I have divided it into 3 sections as indicated in the Table Of Contents. Sections 1 and 2 (General Info and Hotel Info) are rated on information provided, the display of the site, and the "extra's" included (ie. Pictures, Movie Files, Sounds,etc). For the Usenet Newsgroups, it is rated on the information you can get from the newsgroup itself and how useful that information is to the general user.

Note: There are no ftp, gopher, mailing lists or irc sites listed because there are none available for Las Vegas. Las Vegas is very picturesque. Therefore, only WWW sites and Newsgroups exist.
