Disney's Wide World of Sports

With playing areas for over 30 sports, Disney's Wide World of Sports complex is a haven for the athlete and spectator alike. This relatively new (opened May 1997) destination allows guests to watch athletes compete in their favourite sport in a beautiful state-of-the-art facility. Major sporting events during the year include the Atlanta Braves Spring Training, the NFL Quarterback Challenge, the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships, and the Harlem Globetrotters training camp. Even if you're not here for one of the major events, there is always something happening every day of the year, and you can also take a free guided tour of the architecturally-perfect complex. It covers 200-acres with a baseball stadium, tennis complex, softball quadraplex, field house, four multi-purpose playing fields, and a track and field stadium to accomodate all of these sports: aerobics, archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, body building, boxing, fencing, field hockey, football, gymnastics, in-line skating, lacrosse, martial arts, power lifting, roller hockey, rugby, running, soccer, softball, table tennis, team handball, tennis, track and field, tumbling, volley ball, weightlifting, wrestling, and much, much more! For food, there are dozens of concession stands along with the Official All-Star Café, which serves burgers, wings, nachos, etc. For shopping, D-Sports Shop and Disney's Clubhouse sell a huge assortment of NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLBA merchandise.
