John Lennon has pulled me out of a lot of deep places. It seems that whenever I'm stuck, he's there for me in songs, in words, in pictures that I want to reach out and touch...and yet I can't. I dream of him from time to time, and I think we have some s rt of connection. When I'm sad, I hear his voice on the radio, and it comforts me so that I can slowly melt back into this bitter world. I love him, and there's not much more to say about that. Thank you, every Lennon fan:)

John Lennon with and without the Beatles were always a source of inspiration for me. Most of their music had a meaning that I could totally relate to as a child and as a young man. "In my life", "Imagine", "Woman" and "If I fell" are some of the most beau iful songs ever written and they are pure John Lennon. On a final note, anyone that can honestly say that Oasis even comes close to The Beatles in terms of their lyrics and melodies should finally acknowledge who they copied it from. It's obvious to anyone with even an ounce of brain activity that without The Beatles, the Gallagher boys would be nothing but taxi drivers. Their talent is clearly derived from years of studying the men who changed the face of pop music forever.

I'm thrilled to see the interest and info surrounding Gerry Rafferty and Stealers Wheel!I thought that they were lost beneath the avalanche of "current" music aimed ,it would appear,at an audience of 08-12 year-olds. We have, in our time, a phenomenon whi h no age before has had to contend with namely 'youth oriented music' what the mcfuck is that? prior to the baby boom era, the explosion of rock'n' roll, the beatles etc music was not agegroup specific apart from nursery rhymes! I am old enough to remembe these times.The variety was fantastic!!I guess I'm referring to radio more than anything and I lament the passing of a much more enlightened age.Today it's all about product and marketing and THAT to the youngest among us. People used to expect musical a tists whether composers,lyricists,musicians or singers..ALSO music critics to know what they were doing and be very good at it. That doesn't matter at all anymore. People only know what they like and that's all, they often can't even say why they like som hing, the truth is most of the time it's the marketing [video..navel fest ] that has their attention. The West I'm talking about.. In South America and places where music has been a strong art form for for centuries it's a bit different. It's a bit like s ort if you ask me. You should have be good enough to get on the team, not enough to have a captivating haircut!!
