International Rescue Committee Kensington Office Park, 4151 Memorial Drive, Suite 201-C, Decatur, Georgia 30021, Tel: 404-292-7731, Fax: 404-292-5325 Job Developer/Newly arrived: IRC Resettlement Office (Atlanta, Georgia): IRC's office provides resettlement services and advocacy services on behalf of persons entering the U.S. as legally admitted refugees. The Job Developer will report to a Program Officer under the supervision of the Regional Director in Atlanta; The goal of the project is to help newly arrived refugees achieve self-sufficiency. The job developer will work directly with clients from various regions including Vietnam, Bosnia, and Kosovo, and various parts of Africa. Responsibilities: Work directly with refugees as a Job Developer involved in specific employment related areas including Job Development, Job Preparation, and coordination with other program staff for interpretation and placement; Directly contact employers to arrange interviews, placements, and follow-up; Provide employment orientation and training to clients; Properly document all activities. Comply with IRC policy and protocols. Submit regular reports and invoices for payment on contract. Requirements: University degree, experience in refugee resettlement/ job development or other refugee related experience preferred; experience working in community programs or in a cross-cultural setting; desire to work as a team member; excellent communications skills; English language skills; Second language skills preferred.
