Douglas Reunion
This evening was terrible as a mini freezing rain storm was stirking the town. Did not plan to go out as I was scared to slip down on the ice-coated ground (Never had such experience!! Call me a safety pedastrian please!). But Sidney called me to join a Douglas Hall Reunion. I thought it would be the last chance to get everyone together. So, I decided to risk my little and worthless life (perhaps I would cause dangers to the others) and went for the reunion.
Douglas Hall was the place I stayed in my first year in Montreal. Although I joined none of their activities, I met quite a lot of people there. I first got to the dancing room where a live band was featuring some sort of rock and roll. The volume was just to high that I could not even hear what the person next to me said! I sat next to Ali and we chatted a bit. Later, Wen Tsern came by and started another conversation. He should be the only one with a camera that evening. Therefore he took pictures for us. We, then, had a walk to the rooms we used to stay. I was so mad when I saw room H-27-1 (my room) was enlarged!!! They rennovated that floor and created more space for that room. Shit! Why didn't they do this 4 years ago!!!! By the way, other obvious changes happened in House D thru F. Inter-house corridors were build on 2nd and 3rd floors. Actually, those were not corridors, but new dormitories. I heard there were just a lot more out of province students coming to Montreal. The hall needed to expand more to accomodate the growing real estate market in Montreal.
Nothing really surprising. We were there for about an hour.
