KOREA --- A CITY
WITH FAMILIARITY
Going to Korea have been
my dream since I was in elementary school. I cannot explain why I
am so interested in the Korean culture. It is just a feeling.
On May 17, I took a plane
to Seoul. My first impression of Korea was not very good because
the old fashion design of the Kimpo Airport. Also, I was asked
tonnes of questions in the immigration. However, this bad
feelings were swept out of my mind as I travelled into the city.
I don't understand any road sign, I don't understand what the
people talking about... Anyway, I still found I was familiar with
the country. I like the food there. Visiting palaces was the best
activity to me. Buying souvenirs was the most enjoyable shopping
experience I havever had. The funnest thing was that many Korean
thought I was Korean. Sometimes, they asked me how to go to
somewhere by subway. I could say one sentance to them: Sorry,
I don't speak Korean at all!
I enjoyed my stay in Korea
very much as I had to plan for my whole trip. Moreover, I had to
read the map and calculate the time of travelling in each sight
seeing. I became more skillful in using body language now!
The most unforgettable
food I tried there was dog meat. Eating dog meat is legal in
Korea. Perhaps, I am not very sensitive to food. I could not
figure much difference between dong meat and other meats.
Remember, you must drink some traditional Korean wine while you
are eating dog meat. Otherwise, you will feel uncomfortable.
