Cindy and I travelled to the island of Oahu in August of 1996.  It was Cindy's first visit to Hawaii and my second, although I was only 10 years old then.  We stayed in Waikiki and visited many places in Honolulu and around the island of Oahu including Hanauma Bay, Sea Life Park, Waimea Falls, and the Dole Pineapple Plantation.  We also climbed to the top of Diamond Head for a spectacular view of Honolulu and enjoyed a cruise through Pearl Harbor.  Our trip ended with a wonderful luau at Paradise Cove on the western coast of the island.  The only thing we didn't enjoy was the heat.  It was as hot and humid on Oahu as it was back home in Alabama because the tradewinds which normally keep temperatures pleasant did not blow the entire week we were there.  Below you will find photos of some of the sites we saw there.
