Freecards are "free" postcards distributed by publishers all over the world on behalf of advertisers. The cards generally contain advertising images and slogans for movies, shops, fashion, theatre, music, drinks, tv programmes etc. but sometimes the cards are attractive art, glamour, cartoon or photo images to attract people to the postcard racks. The idea of this new concept is that people will like them so much, that they'll want to keep the cards and show them to their friends.

You can find Freecards in shops, cinemas, bars, cafes, restaurants, schools, bookstores, colleges etc. The cards can be taken from the racks and used to send messages, frame, pin up, collect or do as you would with any other postcard.
