THE FORCE --------- All people have the ability to use the force. They don't all know it and most people do it unconsciously. In this game, it is accounted for by Experience Points. Characters with the level 3 super power "The Force" know they have this ability and have trained with it and can use it in more ways than most people. Characters with "The Force" start with 200 experience points and 15 "spells" or effects which they can do with their experience which normal people can't. Some effects are listed here, but it is suggested that players make up their own. Also, all characters with The Force can use any of the normal experience abilities at 1/2 cost and gain double the normal amount of experience. Light and Dark Sides -------------------- Anyone on the light side of the force must follow a strict code of honour or risk falling to the dark side. This means they cannot use their powers to severly injure or kill people, and can be used for combat if it is for self defense only. Light side characters start with 3 "Light Points". Anytime the character performs an act against this code, he/she gains one "Dark Point". A Dark Point will negate a Light Point. If the character at any time has more DP than LP, he/she is considered on the dark side. Also, if a light side character ever gets a Paradox Point, he/she looses all LP and gains 3 DP. If at any time a character has 0 LP and 0 DP, he/she is neutral. As for those on the dark side, they lose the ability to gain double the amount of normal experience and half the normal cost. However, they have complete and total freedom in their actions and what they can do with the force. They have no code to follow and anything is acceptable. Characters starting on the dark side start with 3 DP, and anytime they do something respectable, honourable, or "good", they gain 1 LP. LPs cancel DPs. Anytime a dark side character gains a Paradox Point, he/she is returned to 3 DP. If at any time a character has more LP than DP, he/she is converted to the light side. Neutral characters have 0 DP and 0 LP. They do not gain double experience, but do get half costs. As for allowable actions, they may perform any action or use any effect they want, but if he/she does something extremely "good", he/she will gain 1 LP and become light side, or if he/she does something extremely "bad", he/she will gain 1 DP and become dark side.
