Question #1 : What are all 15 combo attacks for Phantasy Star 4? And what two or three do you use?
Answer #1 : I have referenced the records kept by Chaz Ashley himself, and have found the following information of how to form combo attacks. It has been noted that any lesser for of a spell or art (Zan as compared to Gizan or Nazan) can be substituted with a greater art unless otherwise stated. (as in Triblaster)
I have also found this, written by Chaz Ashley...
"I tend to use Grand Cross often... It seems to have some holy power, thus very effective on the Profound Darkness... Also, and my personal favorite, I love to use Destruction... It's really the ultimate attack... How much better can you get than using Megid, Posibolt and Legeon simultaneously? After that, early in the game, Triblaster in an invaluable resource! It doesn't use too much of our precious TP, yet still packs quite a punch!"
Firestorm | Zan + Foi, Foi + Hewn, Flaeli + Zan, Flaeli + Hewn |
Blizzard | Wat + Zan, Wat + Hewn |
Triblaster | Wat + Foi + Tsu (You cannot use the more powerful versions of these spells for this combo.) |
Silent Wave | Phonon + Airslash |
Grand Cross | Crosscut + Efess |
Shooting Star | Burstroc + Nafoi |
Paradin Blow | Rayblade + Astral |
Lethal Image | Death + Illusion |
Black Hole | Negatis + Nagra |
Circuit Breaker | Hijammer + Tandle (Only works on mechanical creatures.) |
Holocaust | Savol + Diem (Only works on biological creatures. VOL cannot be used for this combo.) |
Destruction | Deban + Megid + Legeon + Posibolt (This one must be done in the order stated.) |
Purify Light | Holyword + Efess |
Conduct Thunder | Nawat + Tandle |
Question #2 : Is there a highest level that a character can get to?
Answer #2 : There does come a point where a warrior's skill has reached its peak... From out records, here is what we know...
In the adventures of the protector Alis Landale, the maximum attainable skill level is 30... In the times of Rolf and Nei, the skill level that they were capable of was level 50. As for the adventures of Rhys and his kindsmen, level 75 was the maximum possible skill level to be achived. In the adventures of myself, and Chaz, our skill was under an interesting circumstance... Although we have the ability to gain the knowledge of a level 99 warrior, the Profound Darkness would not allow it... Too much time would be wasted by attempting to attain such skill... It is rumored that if we had gained our skills to level 99 ability, the Profound Darkness would close in, and scatter our knowledge, trading out attributes with those of fellow companions. Therefore, the only safe level to gain to would have been level 98...
Question #3 : Are there any codes for ps 2?
Answer #3 : There are rumored ways to control the outcome of an adventure unsing some unseen force... I am not certain of the origin of this strange power, but I can tell you the ledgends... They are called codes from what I gather, but again, I know very little of the meaning of these words... I am also not certain of what the implications of these archaic scrips are, but here is what is known...
The ancient secrets of invincibility...
"Hold the directional pad in the direction you want to travel while repeatedly pressing buttons C then B... This will protect you from any potential attackers while maintaining your movement..."
The ancient scripts to the secret of what is know as Slow Motion...
"Press the pause button and then hold either button B from half speed, or tap button C for single frame animation... Hold both buttons to advance on to the next screen in text sections..."
And that is all that is known about the ancient secret of codes during the time of Rolf and Nei...
Special Note: The times of Rolf and Nei are the only times in which these 'codes' are known to exist... Alis, Chaz and Rhys were all without such mystical intervention...
Question #4 : Who attains the skill Posi(tron)bolt, a key component of the combination attack Destruction?
Answer #4 : I am proud to report that it is I, Wren (Fuoren) who aquires that weapon. It was found on Motavia in the place known as Vahal Fort... It was found by taking the main elevator/lift down to the second level, and then proceeding to board a shuttle lift to the right. The weapon was found after going down in an elevator to the far right of the first below-ground level, and then proceeding to the end of a long hallway. To others interested : This is an EXTREMELY powerful weapon. With a 10-second duration of the blast, even Zelan or Kuran would be destroyed. Use with extreme caution.
Question #5 : What must you do to reach Vahal Fort?
Answer #5 : Chaz and myself ran across Vahal Fort completely on accident, actually... When taking a job at the Hunter's Guild, named Sliver Soldier, we were led to the abondoned fortress by a renegade Servant-type AI. Personally, I had forgotten all about the Daughter project, but, as we found, Daughter was alive and well, causing much trouble. Vahal Fort was found North-East of Zema and North-West of the Plate Systems complex. We needed the Hydrofoil to reach it, for the reason that it was across a large strait of water. For those interested in viewing it, it still stands to this date...
Question #6 : When using effect techniques such as Saner, Barrier, Deban and Shift, if you use them twice in a row, does it further increase your stats, or is it simply wasted?
Answer #6 : To my knowlage, the magical or technological effect of an technique or skill of that nature boosts the stats of the party to the highest possible amount. Thus meaning that a secondary use of one would have no effect whatsoever, besides the loss of TP or the possible usages of the particular skill. However, I have recently heard that they do, indeed, have added effect. I have yet to verify this.
Question #7 : What are the diffrences between the Wren-type in PSIII (Shiren) and the Wren-type in PSIV (Fuoren)?
Answer #7 : Okay, this is one I seem to get a lot -- probably because
people keep confusing me with my brother... Oh well. The difference is that he was built
for war only. He is able to carry heavy weapons and such. He is also equipped with a
device that allows him to transform into vehicles. I, on the other hand, was created to
maintain as well. I am well-versed in all modern electronics and can perform system
control and maintainence. He am also equipped with the ability to install interal units --
such as weapons like the Positron Bolt.
