Malis is one of Tyr's greatest cleric warriors. He always used his abilities for the church and for the cause of good. However, he was sent out one day by the high priest to some missionary work for the church around his hometown of Cormeir. As the day went by, he found himself on the outskirts of the town. He yawned and started to head for home. Just as he started walking he heard a woman scream. A troll was attacking Cormeir! Malis quickly ran over to help in the battle. Together with two other fighters, they managed to make the troll retreat back to its cave. In the cave they finally slayed it and burned the remains. They looked through the cave found some gold pieces and a beautiful belt. Malis took the belt. But when he put it on, he turned into a female!!! He tried to take it off, but alas, it wouldn't budge. He went back to the temple and explained the ordeal. The priests couldn't do anything for him and he was eventually kicked out because women aren't allowed to be clerics. So now Malis is a wanderer, questing for an item that will let him/her take off the belt. And even though Malis is female, Tyr still grants him/her spells because he sees nothing but good in her.

Malis always wears plate mail when she goes out. She is indistinguishable from a female fighter except for the fact that she carries a warhammer instead of a sword, and has a holy symbol around her neck. When in battle, she tends to fight like a man because she is one! She has black hair and brown eyes, and is fair skinned. She is 5'7" and weighs 121 lbs.

Malis always analyses any situation before taking any action. Before battle, she always prays to her god for strength and courage for herself and her companions. Her preferred friends are always LG characters, but even a thief can make friends with her...as long as he doesn't rob her blind! She has no fears except for scorpions.
