Adriena says, "I guess we still have a few loose ends here before we set out. Lets enter these rooms here and then go back to the ladder. If none of you are interested in the coins - some of you said earlier that you had no need for money - then Malis and I can take it. We are the priestesses, after all." That being said, Adriena takes 15 silver and 10 copper for herself and then gives Malis the remainder, 3 gp, 13 sp, and 11 cp. "I am not sure what the hoops are. My first thought was that they were door rings or manticles. I doubt they are important, and they are a bit heavy."
Aan asks, "Hey, Garth, when you say you've checked out upstairs, does that include the room I was trying to crawl up into, or is that separate? If it's separate we may want to go back and try it again. Otherwise we should probably move on." Aan pauses. "Was there any view outside upstairs, or all those windows shuttered as well?"
Garth's voice coming from the area of the two hidden doors clues him in, "No there was only the one room. It's windows were shuttered."
Aan replies, "Well I'd like to check it out. I don't know that we need to, but you know that feeling you get when something is held just out of your reach? I was so close to the steps for that room I feel that way about that room up there. But I'll leave it up to the group. Do we go back and check it out, or should we continue through these doors here? I vote check it quickly. Anyone else?"
Adriena replies in turn, "As you said before, it does appear that someone does not want anyone snooping around. They may even still be here, though I doubt it. I also agree with Ganthanor about keeping whoever or whatever alive for questioning - aside from that fact that I don't want to kill _anyone_. That reminds me, I did study my language spell, so we can communicate with anyone or thing we encounter. Anyway, I am up for either room as well."
Ganthanor has a different idea, "Let's check these hidden doors."
Adriena replies, "Since we are right here, why not? Garth and Aan, how about checking these doors for any clever traps."
Aan approaches the door on the left. "We should only open one of these at a time. I don't know if anything will happen or not, but we don't need it happening on two fronts, we're a small group as it is." That said Aan begins searches the left-hand door for traps.
Ganthanor stands beside Aan in his endeavor with the door. Ganthanor pulls his sword out and stands ready for any possible attack from the doorway.
Adriena says, "Malis, lets stand aside and give the boys some room. Here, take the rest of these coins. How much ..um..power.. does your diety grant you? Do you have enough energy to cast more spells? I am curious to learn how your clerical magic works, but if I am being too nosey please say so. What kind of effects can you create. I saw your work with Ganthanor's wound- neat stuff that. I cannot draw upon the realm of necromantic power, it conflicts with my transmutations."
Malis looks at Adriena with an arched spiky eyebrow and says, "I have the ability to cast several spells of the first sphere. My spells are very varied. Depending on which blessings for which I pray."
Gregory says quickly, "Ganthanor, Aan, hold on just a second. I want to check something quickly and then I will be at the door with you." Gregory then looks quickly over the bodies to check the orc bodies' armour to find that due to their burned and half eaten state, the armour is all but useless. Frowning, Gregory moves over to the door with Ganthanor and Aanparon and draws his sword.
The small voice of Garth is heard from somewhere in the center of the room, "The doors are unlocked and not trapped... By the way."
Everyone visible frowns and it appears Malis again tots her warhammer looking around, Aanparon shrugs and opens the left door. Aanparon quickly moves to the side to let Gregory and Ganthanor look in the room, swords drawn. Inside they see a room 30x20ft. On the Eastern wall there is a shuttered window. In the Southeast corner of the room there is a covered well. It is about 10ft wide. Around the floor of the well and along the Eastern and Southern wall there are several scorch marks as if a mighty burst of flame occurred in the room. Adriena looks at the marks for a moment and then realizes, "Guys, with the way the scorch marks appear, it seems like the flame came from the well..." There is nothing else of note in the room.
