Slowly, Aan collects himself and begins walking back towards the house. The stich in his side fades as he continues to walk. Finally Aan finds himself back at the house where he sees...
Kira walking towards him. Aanparon also notices, with his quick eye, the others are nestled in an alley, almost completely out of sight.
Adriena, distracted, suddenly realizes where she has seen the roving orc before. She believes that he is the same orc statue that she saw before in the house.
Adriena strightens up and away from Ganthanor when she recognizes the Statue. Wheeling about, she says to Ganthanor, "Oh my gosh! That's the statue from inside the house! Aan must have alerted the whole place. I hope he's alright." She waits anxiously for Kira and Aan to return to them and thinks about what they might do next.
Barak looks puzzled by Adriena's outburst not understanding how a statue can be walking around.
Ganthanor replies, "I don't care anymore... let's go back to the inn." Ganth gives Adriena that knowing look.... He grabs her on the arm and starts to drag her back to the inn.
Barak still looking puzzled about the statue thing now also looks torn between leaving and getting Aan and Kira back.
Kira, who had circled around to Aan, came up beside him and slipped her arm inside his. "We need," she whispered softly, as she smiled, "to get back to the inn. The others are nearby. They'll follow." Her accent was not nearly as prevalent when she spoke in a whisper, making her almost understandable.
Adriena is somewhat startled by Ganthanor's behavior and she struggles to free herself from his grip. "What are you talking about?!? We need to stay here and wait for Aan. Just.. stop.. it!" Adriena begins to get worried, her voice cracking as she speaks.
Ganthanor backhands Adriena, his heavy hand splitting Adriena's lip, "Don't you ever talk to me that way... I claim you as my mate! You are mine and no one elses! Now, get behind me as is fitting for you." Ganthanor looks like he's ready to hit her again if she balks...Suddenly he drops to his knees and grabs his head..."What the hell is happening to me! Adriena... I'm so sorry, I would never hurt you by choice..." He notices his hands and the grief washes over him further..."Let's get back to the Lady... I'm through with this...."
Barak nods his agreement with what Adriena says and then is taken aback by Ganths sudden behaviour.. Barak realizes that what ever happened to their friend has now happened to Ganth and moves to step in front of Adriena to protect her from another blow as Ganth falls to his knees.
Ganthanor looks up to plead with Adriena for forgiveness and sees Barak in front of her. Something inside him... snaps.... From a crouched position he leaps at Barak and goes hand to hand with him, "She's mine!" He looks like an animal and obviously is acting like one since he doesn't even bother to pull his sword and use it instead.
Barak tries to grapple with Ganthanor and reason with him but with a swift arm Ganthanor strikes Barak in the belly. Barak's breath bursts out of his mouth but he is able to grab onto Ganthanor.
Adriena, stunned by Ganthanor's strike, staggers back against the alley wall. Anger and confusion well up inside of her. She wants to shout at him, but her voice cracks on tears. When Barak's shadow falls across her and she hears Ganthanor's plea she is able to understand what is going on. She says meekly, "Barak, don't hurt him." Then Ganthanor charges. Unsure of what to do or how to help Barak subdue Ganthanor, Adriena rushes to the street and calls for the others, "Kira! Aan! Come quickly!"
After seeing the fight begin, Aan slips Kira's hand from his arm. "Agreed, but we've got to stop this first. Before a patrol comes around. Go protect Adriena, and keep Barak away from her, he's just pissing Ganth off."
Kira did not understand what Adriena said, as it was in Orcish. To Aan, she said, "Ah trust you'll explain all this lat-uh?" and scurried over to the conflict. She tried to pull Barak away from Ganth, hoping that his overflowing Orcish testosterone would subside before he whacked her upside the head.
Barak tries to throw Ganth to the ground and hold him there... when Kira starts trying to pull him off he says to her in common " not me Ganth he's changing" and tries to shrug her off and continue his grapple with Ganth.
"He thinks," Kira hissed at Barak, "that you're fighting him for Adriena. Back away and don't look at her!"
Barak slowly backs away and says in common "If he attacks her again I may have to get involved again." Barak walks slowly away without turning his back to Ganth wary of another attack.
Ganthanor loses his grip on Barak and sees him back down. Ganthanor's human side emerges again. He grabs his head again as the Orcish feelings try to swell within him again as he hears the fool mouth the words about protecting Adriena. Using every bit of control he has left, he ignores those words knowing why they were said. Very quietly he says, "I am sorry Adriena...." Ganthanor looks at Barak but says nothing. It isn't for a few moments before everyone realizes that Ganthanor spoke in perfect Orcish.
Barak watches Ganth carefully ready to intervene if any hostile movement is made by Ganth but making no outward sign of hostility towards Ganth.
Adriena's heart leaps into her throat when Ganthanor speaks to her in Orcish. Tears fill her eyes and she walks forward, placing a hand upon his cheek, "You're forgiven, my brave knight. Return to the Inn and I shall follow." She moves to her 'customary place', giving the others a hopeful glance when her back is to Ganthanor.
Aan tries to get everyone's attention. In Orcish: "Everyone, back to the Inn. Immediately. Barak, you and Kira follow about 30' behind us." Aan then wanders over to repeats this in low tones to Kira in Common, he then starts the troop back to the Inn, walking between Ganth and Adriena, but focusing all his attention on Ganth.
The group quickly makes there way back to the Inn with no encounters. Garth is no where to be seen. There are a few people in the common room but they don't pay much attention to the group as it enters.
