Adriena, who has been watching the doorway, shouts a warning, "There's another one!!"
Ganthanor says, "I will not let you die my friends!" With that he begins to move towards the door calling out, "If anyone has the ability to heal and you feel you can do it while we battle, please do so! I will fight as long as I have breath!"
Gregory moves along with Ganthanor and says, "If this one is anything like the last, we could use another sword. Aan....come on." Gregory draws his sword back, ready to attack.
Some somewhere in the room, you hear Garth's voice saying, ""Um... Adriena, there's two of them..."
Malis says, "I can not heal you while you battle Ganthanor."
The creature with lightning speed charges towards Ganthanor and Gregory before they take two steps towards the door. Garth is no where to be seen. Adriena begins chanting. Malis stands fast, warhammer in hand. Aanparon warily moves forward, sword and dagger in hand.
Ganthanor meets the creature's charge and with a mighty blow severs the creatures left fore-leg. The creature bellows with rage as Adriena completes her chanting and throws a thin spray of sand before her. Nothing happens for a second and then you see Ganthanor fall to the ground, his eyes closed. You also hear a second thud a few feet to the right of the creature but do not see anything.
Adriena's hands rise up to her face in shock as she realizes that she just took out two of her own party members in the face of a vicious creature.
Gregory feels a bit sluggish but shrugs it off in time to dodge a claw and bite from the wounded creature. His return blow hits, dealing a wicked slash to the creatures torso.
Aanparon, seeing what has happened, rushes forward into Melee with the creature. Malis rushes forward as well.
Aanparon, Malis and Gregory stand infront of the wounded creature now. Garth is no where to be seen and Ganthanor is lieing on the ground scant inches away from the creature.
Adriena begins to head towards Ganthanor, as she begins to cast a spell she realizes that the spell requires Somatic gestures which moving will negate, so she decides not to cast the spell.
Gregory gets off the first attack on the creature, again scoring a light wound on the creature's right shoulder. The creature retaliates against Gregory, but he is too nimble and avoids its remaining claw and bite.
Aanparon swings both sword and dagger at the creature, but due to his lack of familiarity with this fighting style, he misses both times.
Malis cries out an oath to Tyr and swings her warhammer at the creature. The warhammer hits the creature on the top of the head, driving its head downward. You all hear a loud CRACK, then see the creature fall to the ground, its head twisted at an unnatural angle.
Aanparon says, "Malis, Adriena, would you please wake and care for Ganthanor, and Garth if they can find him. Gregory keep an eye on them, I'm just going into the next room. I won't stray far, but I want to be certain no more of these bastards, pardon my language ladies, no more of these creatures are waiting, or worse yet on their way."
That said, Aanparon sheaths his sword and heads for the entryway. He flattens himself to the wall and peaks around the corner. After a few seconds he quietly ventures into the next room. Inside he sees the main hall. It has a vast open-beamed ceiling and an open heart in the middle of the flor. There are several holes in the walls of the second-story rooms. The room is 40x40. Directly across the room from you are the stairs (NE corner, on east wall) leading to the second floor. To his immediate left there is a closed door. There are two windows on the north wall as well as one window (next to the main door) on the south wall.
Adriena says to Malis, "I'll get Garth. [sniff] I think he spoke from over here" [pointing] She walks carefully toward his invisible body, listening for sounds of breathing and looking for indentations in the debris. Once he is found, Adriena removes his sword from his hand and shakes him to conciousness. "It's all right Garth, the fight is over...no thanks to me [sniff]. I'm sorry to put you to sleep. It won't happen again."
Gregory walks around the creatures and examine the bodies. He never lets his sword out of his hand though. "Do you need any help Adriena?" Gregory says, turning his eyes from the bloody remaines.
Adriena replies,"No, I'll be fine....oh, you mean with Garth and Ganthanor? They will be fine as far as the sleep goes." She says to Malis [hoping to divert attention elsewhere] , "Malis, how fairs our valiant warrior? He looked pretty bad....so much blood..everywhere.." She goes to stand a little away from the others, as if she feels she may be in the way.
Adriena finds and shakes Garth awake. Adriena quickly loses track of him as he gets to his feet and darts off.
Gregory finds that the creatures are indeed dead and does not see anything on them (pouches, bags, etc).
Malis kneels by Ganthanor, assessing his wounds. While he is sleeping she whispers a short prayer and lays her now glowing hands on the largest wound. The glow from her hands seems to transfer to the wound and once the glow disappears, the wound is gone. Malis then shakes Ganthanor awake, being careful to avoid his sword, not knowing what the warrior might do once awakened.
