Who Simian is, or where he got to be as he is today is a great secret. He was found as a little boy with to big hands and feet, sitting in the park one morning. He was taken to an orphanage while the police tried to find his parents. On the orphanage he proved to be a hard child. He had a hard time controlling his emotions, and sometimes ended up in bad fights. Furthermore he never coud concentrate on anything more than a few minutes. He also got on the staffs nerves when he always complained about smells everywhere. Since they cuoldn't smell anything, he was considered to have hallucinations and was sent to a childrens hospital for treatment. If it wasn't for a young student who did some research on the hospital Simians powers may never have been discovered. When he was talking to Simian, or Phil Smith as someone had named him, he noticed that he could describe the smells very accurately, and that those smells where related to what the student had eaten for dinner yesterday, where he had been and so on. On his own initative he contacted the first version of the King's Men, who was close to disbanding by then. Visor, the only member of both the new and old King's men decided that if Phil was a metahuman he didn't need no treatment, and therefore adopted him. So, in a way, Simian could be cnsidered to be the first member of the new King's Men. In either way he was the inspiration for Visor to get a new group together. When Simian grew, so did his love for the new team, and he proved to be a valuable member of the team, avoiding almost all contact with other people. Duiring the years hsi shyness has become better, but he still tries to avoid large crowds or meetings. In combat Simian relies on his strength and engages in hand to hand combat as soon as possible.
