At the age of 45, Harold Peters is still going strong as the superhero Visor, known to most people as a member of the old King's Men and the founder of the new group with the same name. Since the tragedy with the metahuman known as radiator he stepped down from the position as leader as was replaced by the hero Nightmaster, but has since then begun to rethink his decision. His career as a superhero started 1967 when he discovered his metahuman powers. Back then he was a student and was a part of the hippie-movement. Discovered by the legendary John Bull (yes, the one mentioned in Gurps Supers) he was invited to join the newly founded group the King's Men but turned the offer down. After a few years as a idealistic fighter for love and peace his world shattered when his non-powered girlfriend was killed in a battle against the metavillain Pokerface. This accident broke his dreams and naïve view of the world and made realize that it's no game. So, exchanging his colorful costume for a darker, more somber outfit he set out on a crusade against metacriminals. He trained and honed his powers, worked out and studied tactics in combat, and when he thought that he was ready he contacted the King's Men and asked if their offer still remained. It did, and he became the sixth member of the group. This was in 1973, and the group lasted 12 years before splitting up. Most of the heroes retired, being older than Visor. Visor had then tried out the position as leader at least twice and decided that he could take the responsibility for a new group. So, when he met Simian 1987 he went from thoughts and plans to action and started to actively search for new recruits, and soon found the core for the new King's Men - the Fist, Simian, Radiator, Triangle and Nightmaster. Of these all but Radiator, who died about a year ago in a battle with the Blue Demon (see Gurps Supers), remains. Visor is old ,experienced and most of all an excellent leader. His powers are all based on eyebeams and give him a good edge over most opponents, blinding them and thereafter disabling them with his heatvision. If everything else fails he mimics the opponents powers if he finds them useful. (Note: whatever the power imitated, when Visor uses it it's still based on his eyebeams).
