This is a new page, started because I just got some mail worth posting,
but I didn't know where to post it :) Right now I only have one good
message here, but (I hope) there will be more soon.
Sent to me 11-14
>Just commenting about your tips section about the death knight :)
>You say All other spells but d&d suck :) I absolutely have to disagree
>with you. You need tips? Here are mine:
>Keep in mind i have used these in games very effectively, so they just arent
>random ideas, they have worked for me, take them for what you will
>1. whirlwind. Never use it, id have to agree with you on this one,
>i think its mainly used for playing the computer.
I myself have casted whirlwind once or twice, I notice the
computer likes it, but when the computer uses it, it's just
annoying, not death
>2. Raise dead. Same as above. Skeletons are fun in single player,
>thats about it. Again i agree.. Sucks for multiplayer
Absolutly, it takes three skeletons to kill one archer! Never
seen the computer use it either...
>3. Haste Does not suck in anyway shape or form. I only use it for two things:
>Other Death knights, and dragons. As you know haste does not give any unit
>other than dragons double attacks. Ever seen what just 3 hasted, lusted
>dragons do? They can kill a tower in one volley, same with mages and archers
>Dragons become roughly 4 times as effective (2x for lust, 2x for haste)
>3 lusted hasted dragons can take 9 Unenhanced dragons. Ive seen them.
I don't use haste much, but when I do it's pretty useful (it
also increases the speed that peasants chop, if you're real
desperate for wood :))
>Read Unholy armor for next use for haste :)
>4. Unholy armor: Love this spell. Sure it lasts only 13 seconds, but
>its what you can do in those 13 seconds that counts. The problem with
>blizzard is that if you blizzard packs of units, they come get your ass
>and you do little damage. With Unholy armor, they TRY to kill you and
>D&D kills them.
I must disagree with you on this on, like you mentioned, it
only lasts 13 seconds, and when it's over the unit you used it on has
½ life. Not worth it
>Do this all the time: pair of dks walk as close to the enemy as possible,
>one casts haste and unholy armor on the other, run up to the
>biggest cluster of units you find, and decay away.
>D&D comes out twice as fast and i can ALWAYS kill at least 6 units
>On average i get 9-12, and sometimes even more. Up in the 20s. The only way to stop this?
>Recon and polymorph. NEVER have i been polymorphed because its so fast
>You can run away but I have never run into players who can do this effectively
Very intresting... I'll have to watch for people pulling that
one on me :)
>Unholied hasted dks are just about as good as the invisible magebomb
>You can put units on patrol around the mine and a few towers, if a mage
>blizzards, if you are good you can get him before he kills too many peons.
>With an invulnerable death knight, you can do nothing except polymorph
>and it happens so fast, you better be quick with the mouse, and as ive said
>ive NEVER had an unholied hasted dk polymorphed.
Here for
more about magebobms, this is the best page I've found on them so far
(hope Shaf doesn't mind this link...) Either this guy plays
againt people who are very bad, or he is very good, either way I'm not
sure I beleive him about the never having an unholied hasted dk
polymorphed.
>With a magebomb, the mage will die. With a dkbomb i can get him back usually
>because of haste and/or unholy armor
Dkbomb explained above - I have gotten a mage out of there
alive by the way, so it's not garunteed it's going to die (almost though)
>if ogres are pounding your dks, have them unholy each other then attack back,
>they were gonna die anyway, and they may have enough time to kill the
>attackers or for you to get guys in to save em. 13 extra seconds of life.
You'd have to be very quick to do that
>NO brainer, Same as mage bomb, unholy and haste, run to peon line, haste away.
>Any units coming to get you will die. All peons poof! Doesnt matter
>what they got patrolling around mine, or how many towers they have
>(things that might be a problem for the mage) All peons die.
Not sure I understand what he means with this...
>I love dks. For me they are more fun than mages.. this week anyway :)
>Ogre mages: Bloodlust. No brainer.. Game winner. 3x damage to knights
>2x damage normally. nuff said.
I really hate Bloodlust, as a human player it's one of my only
worries. But it is a no brainer, that's why I don't like (and because
my knights get their *sses whipped :))
>Runes. Im sure Theyre fun. I havent gotten into it yet. Ive used them on
>and off, i like to rune the peon line, or rune the area of the barracks
>where the unit pops out (easy to tell) so when a new unit pops out it
>instantly dies. Did this to a guy with 6 barracks all in a row.
>Runed the entire bottom of the barracks. And attacked the top of the barracks
>When he made reinforcements, they popped out on the runes and when the ran
>around to try and get me, they died. Replace runes. Repeat. Killed 12
>ogres this way :) I was rolling. Mainly cause he fell for it twice :)
The guys appear in the upper right corner by the way - Once
again, very intresting...
>Ive been on kali for 6 months, and im a pretty good player i think.
>I usually play orcs, but i play both. I play a dozen or so games a day
>and I dont usually lose. (havent lost in 3 days now)
Apparently a very good player, not an average player who plays
the very bad:)
>Later.. good page
Thanks
