THORGRIM ABDICATES!

In a shock revelation, well loved Dwarf King Thorgrim Janeksen of Karak Hirn abdicated in favour of his nephew Gimril. This followed the disapperance of King Grong of Barak Varr on a mission for Grungni! King Janeksen was personally requested to take up the post of Regent at the vitally important hold and seaport of Barak Varr at the request of the High King. Speculation continues that Thorgrim Janeksen Esq (as he is now) will eventually be offered the throne of Barak Varr in return for the stirling work he has performed over the last few months.

Kemmler Cruelly Kicked in Catastrophic Conclusion to Battle!

In a major winter offensive, the armies of Barak Varr, Karak Hirn and Karak Norn as well as those of Prince Vaalar the Black, assisted by the reknowned mercenary regiments of Golgfags Ogres and the Slayer Pirates, crushed the forces of Heinrich Kemmler that have been rampaging around the Border Princes. The unified force of Dwarf and Border Prince liberated Faykeep only to find the dread Lichemaster gone, and who knows to where? "He may have escaped this time" said Regent Janeksen, "but we will be looking for him as he know has Dwarf blood on his hands!" Watch out Heinrich, Janeksen never forgets!!

Dwarf Special Forces?

A leaked source hints toward the building up of a number of specially trained units of Dwarfs from the forces of Barak Varr. The purpose of these rumoured units is unknown but if they do exist Regent Janeksen is sure to have a spiteful use in mind for them!

Dwarf Engineers meet in Barak Varr

A surprise meeting of the Dwarf Engineering Guild occured in Barak Varr yesterday. The Guild which normally meets only once per year was rumoured to be discussing the future of Dwarven engineering including the commencement of several new top secret projects!

Hornblowers Promoted!

The Karak Hirn Hornblowers were promoted to the top flight of the Inter Hold league yesterday with the controversial (since when have they NOT been controversial? -ED)defeat of the Barak Varr Bruisers. It emerged afterwards that the Hornblowers Board had settled the drinking tabs of several of the Bruiser's defensive line. The League have decided not to initiate an inquiry as it would spoil their supply of the infamous Headcracker range of beer!!!
