WORLD OF DARKNESS: "Laywers, Guns, and Money"

1. You can play any of the Camarilla clans or Caitiff. I'll most likely allow anything from the Guide to the Camarilla as well.

1a. No Sabbat.

1b. Independents allowed as long as they can reasonable exist within a Camarilla city.

2. The campaign will be set in the year 1999, so date/age your characters appropriately (example: your vampire is 20 years old + 30 years undead, so would have been born around 1949). Keep this in mind when writing up any character background. Bonus points (1 to 10 extra freebies) will be awarded for a background story that is consistent and believable.

3. No background over 3 (if out-of-town no Status, Influence, Herd, or Contacts over 1)

4. No ability (skill/talent/knowledge) over 4

5. No more than 2 flaws (upto 7 points worth) and 2 merits

6. No older than 16 years undead

7. Max number of discipline dots equal to square root of 'age', rounded down to nearest whole number (example: age 16... sqrt(16) = 4)

8. 3 discipline dots free, 4th needs to purchased with freebies.

9. Location is the fictional city of New Boston. Characters can be established residents or out-of-towners.

10. In order to choose the merit "Unbondable" I want to explain why your character cannot be blood bound. Some possibilities, A) Former member of the Sabbat and your leftover Vinculum is preventing you from being bound, B) You are already bound to another vampire (possibly mutual bonded), C) You were born with a mystical protection from emotional control (may give a bonus against Presence/Dominate)

11. Flaw 'Permanent Wound' is variable, 1-4 points. You awaken each evening with a number of wound levels of damage equal to the point value of the flaw.

12. The Gangrel have the merit 'Inoffensive to Animals' for free. All other vampires tend to make animals nervous unless they have purchased the merit for its normal cost (+1).

13. The flaw 'Soft-Hearted' is worth -2 instead of -1.

14. The flaw 'Amnesia' is only partial and worth -2. Something happened wear you can't remember your immediate past, whether a few days ago or a couple of years, but you do remember who and what you are.

15. New flaw 'Total Amnesia' is worth -5. Everything in your past is gone, you have no idea who or what you are. If you're lucky you know that you're a vampire and have to avoid the sun, if not... oh well. (I make up the character for you and give you a blank character sheet, fill it in as you re-discover yourself.)

16. I'll allow Malkavians, but I still don't want to see any Looney-Toons types. I want to see a specific mental illness and it has to be something unpleasant, undesireable, or somehow inhibiting. Madness is the curse of the Malkavians, it is not a free-ticket to act stupid!

17. A 'Dark Secret' is just that, DARK. If anyone finds out about it, you most likely will find yourself staked and left for the sun. If you're going to take this as a flaw, then you need to work it into your background story.

18. Any flaw that does not hamper or hinder your character is not a flaw, and will not be worth any points. Ignoring your flaws during play is a good reason for not getting any experience
