The Church of Light and Dark-
Disclaimer - All you religious scholars - This in not meant to draw religious debate, it's just meant to clear up any confusion.
Have you ever looked at an adventure and seen a "Church of Light and Dark" in the town or on a map? Many people get confused about the Religion of Light (Pantheon of Ra) and Dark (Pantheon of Taut) and believe that in a Church of Light and Dark, both followers of Light and followers of Dark worship there.
I believe that is wrong, based on the fact that it's rediculous that worshippers of two waring gods would worship together, let me clarify and maybe you'll agree:
The Church of the Light and Dark isnt a church, but the name of the religeon. The
religeon itself recognizes the existance of both the Pantheon of Ra (Light), and the
Pantheon of Taut (Dark) just like Christians recognize both God and the Devil.
When it refers to an actual church in the religeon of Light and Dark, it's to be assumed
that only the followers of Light attend the church, and the followers of Dark have
underground movements or secretive meeting places (Just like Christians go to church and
Devil Worshippers remain secretive).
Now what about the other pantheons? As a Christian in America we hear about other
religeons, like Hinduism, Bhudism, The Norse gods, the Aztec gods etc.. and maybe we have
even heard of some of the miracles that their gods performed, but we still dont
believe in them, or at least recognize them as part of our own religeon. The same should
apply to the other pantheons.
Helping clarify that point, most religeons center around a holy book. And that book has to
be taken as true either in a literal sence or a psychological sense. In Christianity
we have the Bible. It mentions both God and the Devil and their continuous struggles vs.
each other. In the Church of Light and Dark they have the Maat. In mentions
both the good gods (Pantheon of Ra) and the bad gods (Pantheon of Taut) and their
continous struggles. Neither mention any sort of god from another Pantheon.
