What exactly is a Doofus?

A doofus is a type of person who is stupid beyond all comparison. They are so stupid,   they don't even realize it.

So what's the difference between a lamer and a doofus?

Well, lamers are not only stupid but they think they are the greatest person ever and have no respect for other people. A doofus on the other hand is too stupid to know what respect  means so they don't give it or show it. Doofuses  are not just mere newbies, they're a bit stupider. Lamers are pure evil while doofuses aren't. Doofuses are people with lack of intelligence but that doesn't mean they're not nice. Lamers are people with not only lack of intelligence but lack  of good sportmanship as well.

Don't people get offended when you call them doofuses.

No. But some people think I'm  'mean' calling people Doofuses. So now I  call them  'intelligence challenged people'.  That is  the politically correct term :)
