Tetrinet Overview

Tetrinet is a freeware internet game made by St0rmcat. There is no charge for downloading it and playing it, but the author does accept $10.00 donations because of the time he has put in to it. It is basically, tetris over the internet, but with many more options. There are "special" blocks which can help or hurt you. You can collect special blocks and use them on opponents for destructive purposes. You can also change the graphics, sounds, and music in Tetrinet just by selecting a different "theme". All you need to play Tetrinet is the game itself, and an internet connection. It is much easier if you have an internet gaming service such as Kali, but it is not necessary. This is because Tetrinet runs using IP addresses. One player must set up to host at his/her IP address, then other players can join in by typing the address under the Clients tab. A chat service simply makes it easier to meet people who want to play tetrinet. The points list is mainly used for ladder participants . The winner is awarded 3 pts, 2nd place gets 2, and 3rd place gets 1 pt. If you are on a team, and your team wins, the entire team goes on the score list as one unit.

The first and third screen shots are pictures of me playing in a game with a few other people. I am using a couple different tetrinet themes I made (downloadable on my Files page). The second screenshot is the "client settings" tab, and shows all of the available options of the game. The fourth shot is of the default theme, with nobody playing.
