Frontier: First Encounters

Well when I first saw this game it sparked intrigue, a game that seemed to be similar to Origin's Wing Commander Privateer but in a larger universe with more ships, great I fell in love with Privateer and now I'm in love with FFE. This game has average graphics and a few bugs (To the great people at GameTek: BETA testing) but none of these are enough to ruin the game. I only had one major problem with this one and that is the fact that I have to reboot to MS-Dos mode when I want to play because the game is not compatible with any DPI32. But because of the low memory requirements of this game I have no problems trying to get this to run. Well as the box says you can be the first to pilot an alien ship... this ship is really cool because none of the other ship (As Far as I can tell) are even close to as powerful. It's a good thing that this one doesn't have multiplayer capabilities or you'd spent hours just finding your opponent. Also included in the box is a small book of short stories that take place in the Frontier Universe. This little book has given me a lot of insight into a huge domain. Well on with the scores.
