Countering Bloodlust
Bloodlust is a human player's worst enemy. It can be devastating to your army and easily cost you the game. But, there are a few ways to stop it.
- Don't let them get it! Many orc players depend heavily on bloodlust. Without it they can be lost. There are a few ways to stop them from getting it.
- Kill them before they get to castle/fortress. Invade early with grunts and keep invading. Don't let up and give them time to get it.
- Use sappers. On low resources you only have 1000 oil. A blacksmith costs 100, a keep upgrade costs 200, and a castle upgrade costs 300. Thats a total of 600 oil.
If you blow up their keep they will have to build a new hall plus upgrade. They then only have 200 oil left, not enough to get to fortress, and bloodlust.
- Use Mages. Mage magic is far better than ogre-mage magic. Bloodlust triples the ogres power. Use slow to cut that in half. Then you are only fighting 1.5 times the power. Throw some blizzards around before them, and they've just lost what once was an superior army, all to 3-5 mages.
This combined with superior forces or some towers in the background will help you win the battle.
