Orc Spell Strategies
Death Coil
Try and keep your DK's behind trees or a line of friendly units and fire away. You can usually hit 2 or 3 units at once, though none of them will completely die.
Raise Dead
The only reason to get this is in the end of the game, there are lots of peasants with no use. Kill them off and raise skeletons, who are only slightly more powerful, but slower and attack back when attacked, unlike peons.
Haste
Haste can be useful, except it doesn't help out ogres. If you want axethrowers to kill gryphons faster, haste them, they attack faster. This can also be helpful to speed up a DK's peasant-line raid. Haste and Unholy Armor him, then send him to D&D some peasants.
Unholy Armor
Completely useless except in the above example. Your enemies will just run till it wears off, then have an easier time destroying you.
Whirlwind
Try throwing one of these in the peasant line and hope it will stay put. Most likely it will completely miss all enemy units and chase you. :) Useless spell.
Death & Decay
Try doing a mage bomb or double blizzard with DK's and D&D. They should work equally as well. Try and D&D the peasant line too.
Eye of Kilrogg
Use this spell and have it sit over destroyers. They will damage themselves!! Over a long period of time, you may even kill a few.
Bloodlust
Bloodlust rocks! Using this spell gives your units 3X the battle power. This can make a group of 9 bloodlusted ogres almost unstoppable. A human opponent would need at least 20 knights to stop it. Watch out for mages though. If you see any, kill them first.
Runes
Find a group of enemies. Lay the runes out in front of a group of ogres, grunts, whatever, but in between them and the enemy. Then have a DK throw a D&D at them. They will charge your DK, running right into the mines. Then use your army to clean up. They will always charge you, unless they are on stand ground, in which case the D&D will kill them.
