Do you want an expansion pack that improves on perfection in almost every way?
Ups: 5 new civilizations.
Many great gameplay improvements. Too many things that this expansion pack
improves upon to list.
Downs: I can still have
the very rare bug of when I tell a villager to do something he/she won't
do it unless I tell them repeatedly. (I have the 2.0a patch.)
Graphics- 9.5 out of 10- The graphics in this game are even more breathtaking than with the original Age of Empires II. The game engine has been improved as far as game speed and slowdowns are concerned. I can run this game silk smooth, usually on my Pentium 200 Mhz with 32 MB RAM.
Sound- 9 out of 10- This game adds all new in-game soundtracks to listen to. This game also adds great new sound effects for the 5 new civilizations. This expansion pack didn't really change the sound and music that much, but it didn't need changed.
Replay Value- 9.5 out of 10- You could practically play this game forever if you wanted to. You can play all the 4 new campaigns that the game comes with. Or, you could play on the internet. Or, you could download more maps and things off of the internet (see my Cool Links section). And this expansion pack adds so much new content, that you'll probably never live to see it all.
Overall- 9.5 out of 10- Some say that you can't improve on perfection... Enter Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings - The Conquerors Expansion. Some say that the $30 price tag is too high for this game, but after you buy it you'll immediately change your mind.
