Do you want awesome rally racing with very realistic graphics?
Ups: Great looking expansion
pak graphics.
Downs: Very unforgiving
physics, but you'll soon get used to them. Very thin manual.
Graphics- 9.5 out of 10- The graphics in this game far exceed any other racing game. The expansion pak lets the game keep a very high frame rate even with the very realistic graphics. You can really see your tire tracks being left. You can also see things kicking up off of your tires. Sometimes the camera angles will get in the way, though.
Sound- 8 out of 10- Nothing special here. There is music, but it doesn't measure up to the catchy tunes of Diddy Kong Racing. The engine sounds are just a droning sound, just like in the original Top Gear Rally on Nintendo 64.
Replay Value- 8.5 out of 10- You can always play this game four player, but the single player mode doesn't have very much replay value, except for the random track generator. But getting through this game will take a while, though.
Overall- 8 out of 10- If you can get over the unforgiving physics in the beginning, you'll be in for some really entertaining rally racing. I recommend this game if you like the original Top Gear Rally on the Nintendo 64.
