SSI Games

for the Apple Macintosh

SSI support for the Macintosh was always problematic.  In many ways this was reflective of the game industry's Mac problems as a whole throughout most of the '80s.  As Computer Gaming World once reported, companies knew their was a Mac market; they just couldn't figure out how to get it to play their games!  Much as with SSI's ST and Amiga support, one wonders why more wargames--their signature line--were not converted.  Other than the core TSR Forgotten Realms "Gold Box" games, there were no solid series appearing on the Mac, which--like the other 16-bit computers--had more than its fair share of vaporware.

The following SSI games were available for the Apple Macintosh personal computer.

(This is only a preliminary list.  More titles will be added!)
