Here is the story of the movie for all of you who don't want to download it.The story in the movies goes like this: First the closeup of one caracter (the colonist) getting ready for hybernation, then the camera pulls out and we see a lot of the colonists and then camera starts to move even further till it becomes clear that the colonists are in enormous ships. The there is a map of the solar system in which there is the great war going on. We come to Jupiter sector which is under attack. We see large space battle with great graphics and lot of explosions. Then the ships are launched and we see that one of them is called Liberty. There is a big battle and the ships are under threat but make it through the blocade and enter lightspeed to escape. The attack continues and the Earth is attacked. Lot of earth defence ships lounch and go toward the enemy but then some great translucid ship appears which was hidden until then. This ship launches some superweapon towards the sun and dissapears. The sun explodes and destroys the whole solar system. Everything is destroyed but we see that one ship has suvived. It launches and travels through the destroyed solar system following the great ships. The we see the FreeLancer logo and the small ship arrives to some distant planet. It starts to land and we see one of the great ships on the surface. The ship is partially dissasembled and the colony has been built arround it. Then the small ship lands and the view changes and small colony becomes a great city built arround the great ship. That's it, 7 minutes of video. Maybe I got it wrong because I watched it without sound. I'll get a sound card and see it again and then will post a follow up.

I watched the movie with sound and here is the full story. The first part of the text above is right. The war I mentioned is a war between Alliance and Coalition which has lasted for hundreds of years. Coalition is winning and the Alliance decides to launch 5 colonist ships towards Sirius. Liberty, Rheinland, Hispania, Kusari and Bretonia are the names of the ships based on their founding nations. Alliance is nearly beaten and they decide to mount the last stand on Pluto. That is the planet being attacked not Earth as I said above. Then the Nomads appear and launch their superweapon towards the sun. Only by blind luck a young general survives and decides to follow the colonists to warn them about the Nomad threat. General is called Atticus Rockford (I hope I spelled it correctly). That's it... sorry about that :).
