Charlemange Sinabelkirchen In a small cozy house on the fourth day of the Month of the Frost Giant, a baby boy was born to Miranda and Emerson Sinabelkirchen. He was a fairly large dwarven boy; three to four pounds heavier than most. His parents named him after the great dwarven warrior, Charlemange. He was born into a tough life. His father raised nearly all food they needed on the farm. He would make all the tools he used by hand, never buying a thing. They were separated from the outside world. The house was in the foothills of the Dargaard Mountains, surrounded by a large forest. Emerson hunted for the meat that they needed, never killing more than the family needed. When Charlemange turned five, his mother started schooling him informally, teaching him proper Common, Writing, Reading, and yes even Arithmetic. By the age of six, Charlemange was helping his father on the farm, plating crops and helping harvest them as well. It was also this time that his baby sister, Mandy was born. He became extremely protective of her, never letting her do anything that might endanger her. By age 8, Charlemange was learning how to use his father's bow. (He did not start hunting though till well into his ninth year) He also was learning minor wood working skills. Later when Charlemange turned 9, his father took him on his first hunting trip. He was taught how to move silently among the bramble of the forest, and when to fire his bow. His first trip wasn't very successful in itself, but he was learning quickly how to hunt. By the time Charlemange was 14, he could work on the farm by himself and was going hunting alone as well. It was then that the most dramatic even in Charlemange's life happened. One day while Charlemange was off on a hunting trip; thieves came to the house, and took everything of any worth to them that they could carry. Not only material value, but his sisters Mandy as well. The band of thieves had killed his mother and his father, ransacked the entire house and then burnt the family's entire fields. Upon Charlemange's return, he found the last of the season's crops starting to burn. He had no idea of what had happened inside, the first thing he noticed after stepping inside, was his mother bent over the table, her blood still dripping slowly off the table onto the floor. At first he had no idea of what to think. He then thought about he father, and rushed into the living area and saw his father heaped on the floor in a pool of his own blood. However, he couldn't find his sister, and had hoped that she had seen the mysterious killers break into the house and had ran and hid in the forest. For some odd reason though, Charlemange wouldn't even believe himself. After his parents' deaths he stayed in the house merely one more year before making his first trip to Kalaman. He had devoted his life to finding his baby sisters, and mutilating the killers of his parents.
(The following is noted in bold, crisp, and precise handwritting)
Charlemange has not been seen for some time and many fear he is no longer among us. Only the gods know his true fate it seems, as none, not even my scribes, can find anyone that knows of what happened to him.
